Getting back into this whole school thing!

After I drooped all the kids off for their first day of school I went to the pool at the M with friends to celebrate! After having half day school for the last 10 years straight I needed a little celebration! My day still flies by, but it is nice to have all day to get stuff done.
I spy Cooper in the back row! I love that his teacher send me pictures.
Multitasking at its finest: watching a show on the iPad and emptying all the trashes.
Cute kiddos off to school early to get in some extra play time!
Nick is the best! Without even asking he LOVES to run to the store for e to grab what I need!
Cooper came home from baseball practice with a puffy eye. He got stung by a bee at practice and he must have rubbed his eye with the stinger still in his finger. After a quick trip to the doctor the stinger was removed and got an allergy shot in the bum he was all good to go to school.
I have been so impressed with Aubrey and how well she likes school. Even when Cooper wasn't there to walk in with her she said, "I can go by myself and be brave."
Aubrey is turning into a "Daddy's girl"!
Aubrey is also LOVING homework and reading!
By the end of the first week of school it is safe to say that these kids were missing their screen time! I found all of them chilling with some sort of screen.

[Broken Nose]

02.09.16
Last week Chris was pitching to Alex in the cages when one of the balls hit Alex square in the nose.
Chris immediately knew it was broken and we took him to the emergency room. Cooper was so scared for is brother that he jumped in the car and I didn't even know it. While we were driving to the hospital I mentioned that we should say a prayer and my sweet Cooper said, "I already did!"
I think that Alex looks just like Josh in this picture.

First cat scan

You know this tough guy had to be in a lot of pain to want mom to hold him like a baby.
The cat scan confirmed what we already knew, both bones in his nose were broken. The PA came into to talk to us and without any warning just reset Alex's nose. He was so brave! he just sat there and when she was finished he said, "I heard that!!"
Right after the PA reset his nose.

***Now that the swelling is gone it is clear that his nose was NOT reset properly as it is pretty crooked. We go to the doctor next week and we will see what is in store for our guy.

Memorial Day

05.26.14

Memorial Day we got together with my family for a baseball game. With all of us we almost have 2 complete teams! Some of the little kids got bored, but it was lots of fun! The big boys ended with a hoe run derby.

The rest of the day we swam at my mom's and bbq'd some burgers. Another great holiday as a family!

[Spring Break]

 04.13.14-04.20.14
Katie got to go to the tulip festival. We love Monday's because we get to hear from our favorite missionary and we also LOVE when we get pictures!

Besides for going to the beach our spring break was pretty lame. The kids took turns being sick and Nick had a 3 day baseball tournament.
We did manage to sneak in a movie before one of the baseball games. Aubrey loves it when my dad brings Max to the baseball games. She likes to walk around with him.

The Saturday before Easter Jeremy was baptized.
After the baptism I ran back to the baseball field to watch Nick play. The Rascals ended up coming in 2nd place for their division. Not bad at all!!

Easter morning checking out what the Easter bunny left.
 All ready for church.
My cute bunnies.

12.13.13
It is kind of tradition that when we go up to Reno for the Jeakin's family Christmas party the guys go snowboarding and the girls (and kids) go shopping.
So that is exactly what happened. I think the guys definitely get the better deal!
Nick got to go this year for his first time and totally loved it.
Nick LOVES being with Dad, Grandpa, Jordan, and Joey so that was a bonus!

{October}

It is crazy that October has already come and gone!
1- Nick played in a Breast Cancer Tournament at the beginning of the month. The team all had pink wrist bands with "Mrs. B" on them. It was pain trying to get all 3 of them to settle down in the tiny room while we waited for the doctor. 10- Lots of school projects lately! Cooper had to make his pumpkin into a character from a book. Chris was such a good sport and did it with him. And I am glad because he did way better than I would have.  11- Pink day at school. The kids were so excited all week waiting for it to come. Nick and Cooper were the most excited. Their new favorite color is pink!! 12- Heather and I both showed up at a baptism wearing the exact same thing! We had to get a picture! 13- Alex hit a home run! He got the game ball that night. 14- Chloe worked on her project all month by herself and completed the whole thing completely by herself. I was so proud of her! 15- Mom and Dad matching in our NATS shirts. 16- Aubrey handcuffed herself to the door. It was pretty cute! 17- And then the next game Cooper got a triple! Angels

 07.07.13
The tickets that Chris got for Father's Day were put to use.
We enjoyed a day at the ball field with just our little family.
We don't get a whole lot of time with our dad, especially in summer, so I think that is why this day was so awesome. Even if we were stuck in California traffic, we were all together, all day.
Everyone had a blast. Aubrey chanted, "Go Angels!" over and over with her foam finger. Our section won Jack in the Box, Chris won a $100 gift card to Chevron, Chris was on the jumbo-tron when he won too, and so were the kids while they were cheering for him. And our whole family was on there together too. We had helmet nachos and helmet ice cream sundaes, it was a great time at the ball game!!

The Angels won! And we had to head to L.A. to take Chris to the airport;(

{The 4th}

We started the day at Chloe's last dance competition for the season, KAR finals at the MGM. They did really well and took a National Top first for their jazz number.

And then we ended our day with friends at the park in Boulder City to watch the firework show.

In between we swam and BBQ'd with my family.  Another fun 4th!

Father's Day 2013

06.16.13

We really tried hard to spoil our dad this year.
He works so hard for us we wanted his day to be special.
I woke up early to make homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast, yummy ham sliders for lunch, and Parmesan chicken for dinner.
Each of the kids chose something to make for Chris for Father's Day.
Nick really wanted to build something, so he made a tie rack that turned out super cute with the help of Uncle Josh for some drilling.
Chloe made a subway art all by herself.
Alex decorated a little jar that said "Love you to pieces" with Reeses Pieces.
Cooper made some handprints.
And Aubrey told me all about her dad. I LOVED hearing her answers. It was pretty cute!
We also got him an Angels apron and Angels tickets too!!

Chris is an awesome dad and the kids really look up to him.
I am thankful for the great guy that he is!

I am also thankful for my own dad. He is such a great example to me and my family.
Chris' dad is pretty great too. He is always there to help when I need him and he is a great grandpa!
