Beach week: Day 2

07.09.13
Day 2 we went all day at New Port. It was pretty busy there, but we still managed to have some fun!

We played in the sand, played a little wiffle ball and boogie boarded. Nick absolutely LOVES the water, just dives right into the waves. So nice to all be together.

Just hanging out on the beach. These are the fab four that got roasty toasty!!

Dad taught the kids to dig for the sand crawlers. They got a kick out of it and had buckets of the creepy little guys!

My goal was to dig a hole deep enough for all 9 of us, but the life guards crushed that dream when they old us we couldn't make it any bigger. We still were able to bury 6!

Beach week: Day 1

Alex rolled out of bed at the hotel and smashed his lip on the side table. It was a nice wake up call for everyone.
07.08.13

The kids and I stayed in L.A. Sunday night after we dropped Chris off at the airport. Our hotel was super nice. Monday morning we played at the pool while we waited for everyone else to travel.

We went and had some lunch and then decided to go to the beach. I LOVED being with my kids without any distractions and I LOVED how well they all got along and helped each other. We could have stayed there forever! The waves were coming in pretty hard and Nick was helping Alex and Chloe. It was the sweetest thing ever! I dug a hole with the kids and they took turns burying each other.
Around 5ish my mom, dad, Jenny, and Katie made it into town and so we left to go meet them at the hotel. We swam and had dinner. And then we all played Sardines. It was so much fun. I think it took us the longest to find Alex when it was his turn and he even hid in a spot that someone else used. so fun!!

Angels

 07.07.13
The tickets that Chris got for Father's Day were put to use.
We enjoyed a day at the ball field with just our little family.
We don't get a whole lot of time with our dad, especially in summer, so I think that is why this day was so awesome. Even if we were stuck in California traffic, we were all together, all day.
Everyone had a blast. Aubrey chanted, "Go Angels!" over and over with her foam finger. Our section won Jack in the Box, Chris won a $100 gift card to Chevron, Chris was on the jumbo-tron when he won too, and so were the kids while they were cheering for him. And our whole family was on there together too. We had helmet nachos and helmet ice cream sundaes, it was a great time at the ball game!!

The Angels won! And we had to head to L.A. to take Chris to the airport;(

{The 4th}

We started the day at Chloe's last dance competition for the season, KAR finals at the MGM. They did really well and took a National Top first for their jazz number.

And then we ended our day with friends at the park in Boulder City to watch the firework show.

In between we swam and BBQ'd with my family.  Another fun 4th!

Aubrey is 3!!!

 06.23.13
I can't believe my baby girl is 3 years old already.
Aubrey's actual birthday was pretty low key. She brought cookies to share with her nursery friends. We ate some of her favorite things, donuts and chicken nuggets! And she requested a pink cake.
We celebrated Aubrey and Makaylin together a week later with all of our family. The girls picked out all their party stuff and each picked the color of their cakes and Amber made them for the girls. They each got tons of princess stuff and were completely spoiled. They ended the evening in the pool with all of their cousins. I am thinking their party was a success!!!
Happy 3rd birthday Princess Aubrey!!!

[Monster Party]

 06.21.13
We went to see Monsters University at the Galaxy Theater on opening day with Amber, Mavrik, Makaylin, the Schweitzer's and the Wong's. The kids LOVED relaxing in the big chairs with their feet up. Let's be honest, it was pretty AWESOME! And the movie was pretty dang cute!
Afterwards we had a Monster party and went swimming at my mom's. All of our food was blue, green, and purple and we had lots of Monster treats. Such a fun day with all of our friends!!

{JUNE}

I feel like June was the longest month ever, but at the same time I feel like it came and went so fast!
So here is June in no particular order:

Father's Day 2013

06.16.13

We really tried hard to spoil our dad this year.
He works so hard for us we wanted his day to be special.
I woke up early to make homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast, yummy ham sliders for lunch, and Parmesan chicken for dinner.
Each of the kids chose something to make for Chris for Father's Day.
Nick really wanted to build something, so he made a tie rack that turned out super cute with the help of Uncle Josh for some drilling.
Chloe made a subway art all by herself.
Alex decorated a little jar that said "Love you to pieces" with Reeses Pieces.
Cooper made some handprints.
And Aubrey told me all about her dad. I LOVED hearing her answers. It was pretty cute!
We also got him an Angels apron and Angels tickets too!!

Chris is an awesome dad and the kids really look up to him.
I am thankful for the great guy that he is!

I am also thankful for my own dad. He is such a great example to me and my family.
Chris' dad is pretty great too. He is always there to help when I need him and he is a great grandpa!

Cousins Sleepover

06.12.13

I got a crazy idea and decided to have a cousin sleepover for the kids.
13 kids in all.
We had pizza and played. We watched a movie and had popcorn.
By 11ish all 13 kids were sound asleep.
In the morning they played and had pancakes.
Then we lined up to get sun lotion and then it was time to play on the water slide.
Nick and Ben are getting big and they were too cool to participate. They went on a walk instead.

They played outside for a while. Then they came in to warm up and play some more.
It actually wasn't too bad. We even had some more friends come play too. In all we had 17 kids.
Most of them didn't even want to go home. I am glad that my kids have so many cousins and can make these fun memories with them!
