{Busy, Busy}

Baseball season has officially started (not that the 45 practices that Nick had through August and September didn't count!)
But both Nick and Alex played their first games. Chris is coaching Alex's team with his partner Chad. They play on Tuesdays and Fridays and practice on Thursdays.
Nick only got to play one of his games and then the club league that he was playing in was dissolved after too many teams pulled out. Their first game they played a triple A team and they are a single A team and they were up until the 5th inning when they lost by 3. So they did pretty good!! As for now they are continuing to practice 3 times a week and take any scrimmages they can get while the league figures thing out. They still have a couple of tournaments that they signed up for, so Nick is excited about  that.
Meanwhile we have baseball every day of the week! Makes life even CRAZIER!
But we are still having fun and for the most part it is something we all do together as a family.
Aubrey says, "go baseball game!".

Flashback Friday

October 2002
Ten years ago at the pumpkin patch. I was pregnant with Nicholas.
What babies we were!!

365- Week 37

 09.16.12

Alex wasn't paying attention at baseball and took one to the eye. Poor guy!!

09.17.12

I thought it was  a little unfair that while my abs still hurt I get sick, pretty much making me cry every time I sneeze!!

09.18.12
I always love a sleeping baby, especially my lil' Braves girl napping with her baby!!

09.19.12
Tubby time! Aubrey is NOT a fan of the shower anymore and prefers to bathe again.

09.20.12
I know, another picture of Aubs!! We were at my follow up appointment and she was so good even though she missed her nap and we waited forever!!

09.21.12
No picture

09.22.12
My Picky-Nicky thought it was awesome that the bunch of bananas had 12 on it. Of course he hates bananas though!

Big time flash back! I remember always going on adventures with my dad. We always went fishing at Lake Meade. Sometimes we would go camping or hiking up at Red Rock. I love my dad!

[aubrey ann]

She took all these pictures by herself. At this rate she should have self photo skills down in no time!
Aubrey is getting so big and when I say so big, I mean she seems so old!
She L.O.V.E.S. to play on my phone. Sometimes a little too much and when I want/need it back she usually tries to hide from me or hide my phone, or throws a complete fit (not fun). She loves to talk on the phone and always tries to call Grandma or Jenny and she does manage to call them quite often. Jenny always has voice mails from Aubrey.
She is talking so much! She repeats almost everything we say back to us. Most of the time it cracks me up. The kids think it is pretty funny too and get her to say funny stuff, sometimes inappropriate.
She has become quite the eater. Still pretty picky, but if it is something she likes (ie: pizza) she will eat A LOT!
She is still sleeping in my closet. And I really would like for her to stay there forever! I know that it won;t be too much longer before she is in her room with Chloe. She still has her binkie for naps and night time. We have been down to one for a long time. We couldn't find hers the other night (it got stuck in the sheet) and she fell asleep after about 2 minutes of crying. I was sad that night because all these little things mean my baby is growing up. They next night Chris gave it back to her and said she could be my baby a little longer. Every night I sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star before she goes to bed. She now requests it when I put her down for naps too and she knows the whole song, and I love it!

365- Week 36

 09.09.12
With some down time I finally finished my photo cubes that I started months ago!
I LOVE how they turned out, but I am not exactly sure what to do with them.

09.10.12

My little lefty concentrating on homework. We haven't found our homework groove yet with our crazy schedule, so it has been a little tough getting him to sit at the table and finish.

09.11.12
I remember 11 years ago when the first plane crashed and I had just gotten to Gomez's to watch their kids before school. Sondra had the news on  and I thought it was just an accident that a plane flew into the tower and when the second plane hit I was just so confused. My young and innocent mind couldn't wrap my head around the fact that it was a terrorist attack...why would someone do that??
As I was doing Chloe's hair that morning she was asking me so many questions about 9-11. She was hoping that they didn't have to see any pictures or watch any movies at school about it because she said it is just too sad it makes her cry. I love that she cares so much about people!

09.12.12
I am glad that Chloe still lets me put her hair in pigtails. I want her to stay my baby girl forever!

09.13.12
Alex is still our early riser. Lately Chris has been making the kids lunches and Alex is his helper.

09.14.12
Nick was so excited to get his uniform on Friday. He got to pick his number and he chose 61 because that was Chris' football number in high school. Chris didn't tell him that either. He just remembered from seeing a picture of Chris playing that is in our office.

09.15.12
Hailey spent the night with Chloe on Friday and these two had fun playing all day Saturday.

365- Week 35

 09/02/12
We had a family dinner on Sunday night to celebrate Jenny's 21st birthday and Grandma's 71st birthday.

09/03/12
Chloe ended up spending the night Sunday with Hailey and Jenny because they had no school for Labor Day. Jenny wanted to take them to her picnic for work, so she took them both shopping and bought them a whole new outfit. What spoiled girls!!

09/04/12
Jenny spent the night Tuesday night so that Chris would be able to take me the hospital nice and early on Wednesday. So Chloe slept on the floor so Jenny could sleep in her bed and Cooper decided to join her. Jenny slept on the couch though. Chloe is such a nice girl!

09/05/12
Surgery day to have my hernia repaired and Jenny's 21st birthday!
(Jenny is the best sister ever! Waking up early to get my kids ready for school and take them to school  on her birthday)
Definitely no fun!
Chris is the best though. He stayed by my side the whole time while it took more than double the time in recovery that it was supposed to.

09/06/12
My girls. All showered and ready for bed.

09/07/12
 My "A Babies".

09/08/12
Boys! Making guns out of anything they can!

Flashback Friday

June 2010
This week I had to have surgery to fix my hernia. It was a little more than 2 years ago that I got my hernia when I was pregnant with Aubrey.
I am not a fan of going to the hospital, I hate IVs , just not a fan of the whole experience.
I couldn't sleep on Tuesday night. Just the anticipation of what was going to happen was driving me crazy.
But as we were on our way to the hospital together ,Chris and I , it felt like so many of our early morning drives to go have a baby. A lot of pain but nothing cute came from this.

First day of school for everyone. We met Katie for lunch at UNLV.

08.28.12
 This boy LOVES cookies!

08.29.12

Messing around before school. There seems to be a lot of that going on around here!
We are still trying to get back into our morning routine.

08.30.12
All about ALEXANDER LICHTY. He is 7 years old. His favorite color is red. His favorite animal is a lion. His favorite food is BBQ chicken. Pump it Up is his favorite place. When he grows up he wants to be a soldier. His favorite thing to do is play LEGOS. If Alex had one wish he would wish for a hot rod (like father, like son).

08.31.12
 My little Rascals ball player.

09.01.12
Saturday Chris and I had a date night with some friends. We went to dinner at Lucille's which is always yummy, to the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana, and then to Max Brenner's for dessert. What a fun night!!

Frias Family

We are FRIAS Family!
Sail. Soar. Succeed.

I think that with most changes and decisions in life there are the good and the bad.
I am so glad that on of the good ones is being part of a school family. It is so nice that my kids get to go to school with the kids in our ward. Everybody but Nick has at least one church friend in their class. Being at Stuckey last year we really missed that! When I go to drop off and pick up kids it is so nice to see so many familiar faces and get to chat with some of them here and there.
I know all the changes won't be good, but hopefully the good will out weigh the bad!

First Day{2012}

Once again summer has come to an end and that means back to school for the kids.
Last year I said that hopefully my kids would be able to finish up their elementary careers at Stuckey, but things changed and we are at a new school AGAIN! Four different elementary schools is definitely not what I wanted for my kids! I myself don't do well with change and have mixed emotions about this change just because we have changed so much. We did LOVE Stuckey, but I feel this change will be for the better. Being a Mom requires so many hard choices!
So this year we are at Frias and I REALLY hope this is our last elementary school!!
The first day of school is always so emotional for me. I am usually fine until it is time to say good bye and that is when the tears come. No different this year. I always stress because I can't be with each of them so Chris was able to come this year to help make things a little easier which was nice.
Nick is in 4th grade this year. His teacher is Mrs. Austin. He is out in the portables. He has already told Chris that he needs to fix the air in there!
Chloe is a 3rd grader this year. Her teacher is Mrs. Phillips. She is super excited to have Annie and Karah in her class this year and she also gets to have lunch with the 4th graders and gets to play with her new buddy Bella.
Alex is a first grader this year. I decided to hold him back a year. Probably one of the hardest choices I have made, but after much prayer I feel like this will be the best for him. He is such a good boy and was okay with it. His teacher is Mrs. Castillo. He has three cute girls from church in his class, Blair, Baylee, and Elise.
Cooper is in kindergarten this year. Ms. Kim is his teacher. Paige from his church class is with him in the afternoon class. They used to have playdates together so they are buddies. He said he was glad that Paige was in his class or he wouldn't have any friends. I am glad that he is still okay having friends that are girls!

I think that the first week of school went pretty good. We still have some work to do to get our morning routine down again, but we are off to a good start!

Happy 7th Birthday Alex!

My Panda Bear is SEVEN years old!
He woke up with a visit from the birthday fairy. She left some balloons filled with $$$.
He was super happy about that.
Dad made everyone their own personal omelet because Alex requested eggs for his special breakfast.

We went to church and Alex brought banana muffins to share with his class.
After church all of our family came over for dinner and cake and ice cream.
Alex is really into LEGOS right now and he got tons of them.

Since his birthday was on a Sunday this year we did some celebrating the night before too.
Alex had his favorite for dinner, Buffalo Wild Wings and then Jenny, Josh and his kids met us for some skating and shaved ice.
Happy 7th birthday buddy! We love you!

Note to self: Stick to the Family Skate Night from now on. Crystal Palace on a Saturday night was not as much fun!
