Getting back into this whole school thing!

 After I drooped all the kids off for their first day of school I went to the pool at the M with friends to celebrate! After having half day school for the last 10 years straight I needed a little celebration! My day still flies by, but it is nice to have all day to get stuff done.

 I spy Cooper in the back row! I love that his teacher send me pictures.

 Multitasking at its finest: watching a show on the iPad and emptying all the trashes.

 Cute kiddos off to school early to get in some extra play time!

 Nick is the best! Without even asking he LOVES to run to the store for e to grab what I need!

 Cooper came home from baseball practice with a puffy eye. He got stung by a bee at practice and he must have rubbed his eye with the stinger still in his finger. After a quick trip to the doctor the stinger was removed and got an allergy shot in the bum he was all good to go to school.

 I have been so impressed with Aubrey and how well she likes school. Even when Cooper wasn't there to walk in with her she said, "I can go by myself and be brave."

 Aubrey is turning into a "Daddy's girl"!

 Aubrey is also LOVING homework and reading!

By the end of the first week of school it is safe to say that these kids were missing their screen time! I found all of them chilling with some sort of screen.

{Back to School} 2016

The first day of school for the 2016-2017 school year.

 Summer was great, but it is good to be back a routine!

This is my first year with ALL 5 kids in school ALL day!

 BIG Nick is in 8th grade this year. He is taking an early bird Spanish class so he is off to school first.

 Chloe is in 7th grade.

 Alex is in 5th grade. BIG Man on campus now!

 Cooper is in 4th grade and happy to be back at school with his friends!

Aubrey is a 1st grader now! The first day was a little rough but now she is such a big girl and just runs off with the boys in the morning to go play!

My last three in elementary school! 

08.26.16 At the Meet & Greet the Friday before school started. Aubrey was pretty hesitant, but after visiting her new classroom and  Mrs. Davis multiple times she was okay. Alex and Cooper are pros at this now. Cooper has Mrs. Berkowitz this year and Alex has Mrs. Phillips.

 Comparing photos from the beginning of the school year to the end of this year is always fun. 

The kids have changed so much, but at the same time they are exactly the same!

Nick has braces now. Chloe's looks older and her hair is longer (hard to see though).

Cooper has big teeth now. Alex has more teeth. And Aubrey didn't even start off the school year going to school.

 Another year with great teachers. I am always so thankful for teachers. They love, care and teach my children. So grateful for good teachers!

Aubrey was not having a picture on the last day of school. Aubrey LOVED Ms. Lee!

Nick had his 5th grade awards ceremony. He received his Great American Award for :

     ●      Recite the Gettysburg Address

●      Recite the names of the 44 presidents in order 

●      Recite the States and Capitals in alphabetical order

●      Recite, sing, or rap the first verse of the Star Spangled Banner

●      Recite the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States 

●      Write the Pledge of Allegiance with no spelling or punctuation errors 

Nick is such a good boy and I am so proud of him. I can't believe he will be going to middle school in a few months!!

5th grade Field Trip

Every year the 5th graders at Frias get to go to Disneylamd at the end of the school year.

Mrs. Frias pays for each of the students and one of their parents to go, charters buses, and gives everyone $25 in spending money. We had to be to the school at 4am on Saturday and the bus dropped us back at the school at 3am. It was a long day for sure, but I am so glad I got to go spend the day with my Nicky at the "Happiest place on Earth"!

Frias Field Day.

It was a hot day.

Pretty hard to try and follow around 5 different classes and see much of anything.

Glad I was there though. 

Firetruck was definitely the highlight of everyone's day!

Chloe matched with her friends from our ward, Brynn & Amanda.

Nick was twins with his buddy from school, Caleb.

Alex was matching with his friend Connor in his class at school and on his baseball team.

And Cooper was twins with his friend Kayden from our ward.

My kids were so excited for take your child to work day. 

Chloe and Hailey got to go with Jenny to work at her salon in the Palms.

 Alex and Cooper got to go with Grandma Karen to work in the nurses office at Stuckey E.S.

And Nick and Ben got to go to work with Grandpa Steve.

And since the 4 older kids weren't going to school I decided Aubrey didn't have to either.

So we went out to Lake Meade with Lauren and Natalie and did a 6-7 mile walk/run/hike through the tunnels down to the dam.

The kids did a Fun Run for school to raise money.

They had sponsors and ran laps.

All 3 boys did the max 36 laps.

Still kind of sick, I was a proud, emotional mom and cried watching my kids run.

Aubrey ran her 15 laps with me.
