It all started when we had a costume party for Bunco.

 Amber came as theBride of Frankenstein and I LOVED it. 

She won the costume contest too.

So I asked her to transform me into the Bride of Frankenstein for our ward trunk-or-treat. 

So she came over and teased and ratted until my hair was standing up. Everybody loved it and a lot people didn't even recognize me, so that was fun! My hair is still sporting some black color though!
And Chris was such a good sport and dressed up as Frankenstein. Amber was getting me ready and I had eyelash glue in my eye, so I handed Chris some make up and he did it all by himself. I was very impressed!

{Trunk-or-Treat}

Our wards trunk or treat was Saturday night. There was a chili cook-off and cornbread and cobbler contest too. Chris made some yummy smoked brisket chili, but he didn't win. The kids got too much candy and had fun running around with their friends.

365- Week 42

Busy, busy week! No school 2 days, Parent Teacher conferences, visiting teaching, birthday shopping/baking, and all the other stuff that we have all the time! And with all the craziness I hardly took any pictures. I am kind of sad about that!

 Happy, happy birthday daddy dear! After Nick's baseball game we headed to Red Robin, Chris' favorite for dinner. My parents, Jenny, Katie, Karen, Joey, and Corbin came too.

 We went out with friends for Chris' birthday. I am sad I forgot to take pictures. We had a lot of fun. We went to Pole Position, BJ's for dinner and then back to our house for cake and ice cream. Zach and Chris were messing around.

Trunk or treat Saturday night. Chris and I even dressed up this year. As always, a fun night.

[Warrior Dash 2012]

 Chris picked me up after practice for the primary program and we headed to Lake Las Vegas for the Warrior Dash. It was a 5K with obstacles. They were mostly pretty easy. Except for crawling uphill on rocky terrain under barbwire. My knees did not like that! But jumping over the fire, swimming in mud, and "the black mud" were some of my favorites. Chris' friend from high school did it with us too. It was a lot of fun, we definitely want to do another one again!

 Nick has been working on a song called "The Baseball Game". He is getting pretty good at it and was playing pretty fast the other day.

 Cooper and Paige were in  a little playgroup together last year. This year we switch off taking to afternoon kindergarten. When I was dropping them off a couple weeks ago Paige asked if she could come paint pumpkins again like they did last year. It was pretty cute. And there pumpkins turned out great! Cooper gave his to Jeremy for his birthday, but he left it at our house so Cooper re-gifted it to his teacher, Ms. Kim. Aubrey loved hers and carried around everywhere! Sadly she even brought it to the car wash and we accidentally left it there.

 Jeremy, his kids, my dad, and Katie came over for Jeremy's birthday and Chris grilled up some yummy carne asada.

 Nick got to tag along on date night and LOVED it! We went to Balboa Pizza, Bass Pro, Target, and then Golden Spoon for a treat.

Pumpkin Patch 2012

 Last Saturday we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch with our friends.

 All the kids have to pose for pictures before they were allowed to go play. If I didn't know better you would think that they were being tortured!!

Afterwards we headed to Zach and Lauren's for some dinner and games. It was such a fun night!!

 My mom gave me a magic witch's broom that sings and glides along the floor. Everett and Cooper thought it was awesome! Aubrey was running away from it and hiding on the couch and kept saying, "scar-wee".

 Lucy was over for the afternoon while Juli was working. They played really well together. Luch was doing Aubrey's hair in this picture.

 No school- Staff Development Day. It was such a nice break! Nick had a baseball tournament that got pushed back because of the rain. So instead of having his games in the afternoon when the sun was shining, we froze. It really wasn't too bad but I just was NOT prepared! Alex and I trying to keep warm!

We were at baseball on Saturday too. The Rascals did really well for there first tournament together. After Friday they were in the 1st place seed in the Gold Division. They ended up losing Saturday's game, but they put up a good fight!

{Park Day}

Cooper has been dying to go to this park all summer, but it has just been too hot. We finally went a couple of weeks ago with Amber, Mavrik, Makaylin, and Lucy. It was kind of different so that was fun. Cooper LOVED the little zip line feature and even talked me into trying it which was a bad idea (even if your doctor has released you, be careful!). We had lunch and the kids went off exploring in all the bushes. It was cute to watch!

{Potty Training}

Day 1: We are all still very excited. Lots of treats and drinks!

 I was reading somewhere that the best time to potty train is between 2 and 2 1/2  because after that kids are too stubborn and it is harder to train them. Aubrey just turned 2 at the end of June, but it made me nervous because she is already very stubborn at times. Before Saturday Aubrey had never peed in the potty, and when asked where she is supposed to pee and poop she would say, "don't want to poop (pee) in potty!!".

But I figured I would begin anyways and waited for the next time I had a couple of days at home without any plans. I am sad that it had to be General Conference weekend and that I wasn't able to listen to as much as I would have liked to, but after a very trying weekend, having all of my patience tested my girl is well on her way to being potty trained!!

Day 2: Had to change things up a bit to keep Aubrey motivated. We started blowing up balloons every time she peed in the potty. By the end of the night she had a whole balloon bouquet!

 Saturday night I felt completely defeated wondering how I ever potty trained 4 kids and wanted to pull the diapers out and forget all about potty training. But I stayed consistent. We sang songs, we played games, and I don't think I have ever spent that much time in the bathroom in my life!!

I feel like I have been on house arrest these last couple of days, but Day 4 it finally clicked for Aubrey and I am so excited. She has told me every time she has had to go to the bathroom today and we have had no accidents! I know we still have a ways to go, but today is a HUGE milestone!!

Rascals

 It has been fun watching Nick play on a club team. They practice and play a lot and Nick LOVES it!

Once a week they have a game at Big League Dreams. It is pretty far, but it is such a neat ball field and I know the boys LOVE playing out there!

Monday morning the boys had dentist appointments to get their teeth cleaned. I was a little nervous because I have started letting them brush their own teeth and I know that they don't always do the best job. But to my surprise they both remain cavity free!! We went across the street to McDonald's for lunch and to play for a bit before heading to school.

 Not a great picture, but Aubrey was so funny! Jenny and I were shopping and Aubrey kept hiding under the clothes rack. At one point I thought she was with Jenny and almost freaked out before realizing she was just sitting quietly under the clothes. She liked it under there and I had to drag her out when it was time to leave.

 The day before was walk or ride your bike to school day and all those who participated were enetered into a drawing for some prizes. Alex won a free yogurt at U-Swirl! After we dropped Nick off at scouts, Chloe off at dance, we ran to find a U-Swirl before we had to take Alex to baseball practice.

Day 1 of potty training. Drinks lined up to keep her peeing. I really forgot how much I HATE potty training. By Saturday afternoon I was ready to quit, wondering how I ever got 4 children potty trained!!!

365- Week 38

I took Chloe over to say good-bye to one of her best friends, Emily. The next morning they left for Nebraska.

Another picture for the day. Jenny came over to do my hair. It was much needed and I feel so much better. Plus I LOVE the time that we get to spend together!

Granny took us to dinner at Famous Dave's and then to get dessert at Baskin Robbins. And I still love a clown cone just as much as when I was little!!

 Waiting for story time to start. We met Amber, Mavrik, Makaylin, Juli, and Lucy at the library for story time and then to McDonald's for some lunch before we had to take Cooper to school.

 Definitely a good week in my book! Chloe went shopping with Grandma Debbie for Hailey's birthday and what do they bring home, clown cones!!!

 At the kid's school they had to do some class changes. Nick's class was one of the ones that was completely eliminated and all the kids had to be split up among the other 4th grade classes. He brought home his letter that Friday pretty bummed. He never wanted to switch schools, so he was already having a rough time making friends, so my heart just broke as I sat in the car with him after school. All the kids had play dates for the afternoon, so we had a little date. We went to Target to get new tennis balls and then to Golden Spoon for a treat. I love my boy to pieces and hate to see him sad and there not be anything I can do!
