Spring School Pictures

The kids had school had their spring school pictures right before spring break.
Cooper was sent to school with his picture packet and money too.
He just didn't turn his in. And didn't give it back to me for a few weeks.
Sometimes that boy makes me CRAZY!
My kids look so old and BIG! What is happening??!!

{baby Cooper}

Cooper needed to bring in a baby picture from when he was between 3 months and a year. So Cooper and I spent the morning looking  through pictures on the computer. These are a few of his favorites. He liked the ones of him and Everett and he really got a kick out of the one of him with his "girl friends". But he ended up choosing the one in the middle. He was about 11 months in that picture. He used to make the cutest little face with his nose all scrunched up and I put him in the bath to try and get it on camera. Never got "it", but did get some other cute faces.
What happened to that cute, chubby baby??! I can't believe he is going to be graduating kindergarten soon.

[good boy]

On Friday I fell and pulled a muscle first thing after I woke up. I didn't say anything to my kids, but Nick noticed that I was limping. Everyday before school the kids do an "extra" chore to help out around the house. Nick came to me and asked what I wanted him to do for his chore and I asked him what he wanted to do. He got big tears in his eyes and said that he would stay home from school and help me because I was in pain. My heart just broke. Nick is such a sweet boy and so willing to help those in need.
Also, last week all my kids brought home little boxes from school that they were to collect money for kids with cancer. Nick asked if he could empty his piggy bank into his box and without much thought, thinking that it was just some change told him sure. The next day he came home from school and told me that his teacher was very impressed with him. When I asked why he said because he donated more than thirty dollars (They were asking for each child to collect about $10). I had forgotten that he had been doing some work at my mom's house to earn extra money. I asked why he put all his dollars in the box and he said, "because those kids need it." Again my heart melted. I am so thankful that Nick has such a big heart and is so caring. He is a good boy and I love him to pieces.

Easter 2013

Easter morning we got up and had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, got ready, and headed to church.
The Easter Bunny came while we were at church. He his eggs in the backyard and hid the kids Easter baskets around the house.

Cooper lost his first tooth, we had some Easter naps, made some rolls and green bean casserole and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for Easter dinner.
After a long and busy week it was nice to relax and enjoy Easter dinner with family and friends.
In between all the craziness this week we tried to talk about our Savior and His Atonement and Resurrection  the real reason we celebrate Easter.
I am so thankful for a loving Savior who suffered for me that I may repent for my sins and hopefully live with Him again someday.

Spring Break

Monday was so relaxed and nice! The kids were up and ready for the day with all their chores done before it was even time for school. We stayed home ALL day and just hung out. The kids had play dates and we had friends over for dinner.
Tuesday Grandma took everyone to lunch at the Meatball Spot and then to the movies to see The Great and Powerful Oz. Just the kids took up a whole row at the movies!
Afterwards Mavrik and Makylin came over to play. We went to dinner at Red Robin with Jordan and Amber and all the BIG kids got to have a sleep over with them.
Wednesday I picked up the kids and we spent the entire day at the the park with friends. They were totally content running around together and playing. It was nice to be able to sit and talk with friends while they played for hours and hours.

That night we had little "Baby Sprinkle" for my friend Staci at CPK. I am sad I forgot to get a group picture. It was a nice girls night out!
Thursday we spent the day at the ball field watching Nick play in his tournament. They had two games. They won one and tied the other. Nick was discouraged because everytime he was up he would hit the ball and it went right to the other team and he got out. As a parent I was so proud that he hit every time up at bat!
Nick is always asking to go on bike rides, so to cheer him up that is what we did that evening. We definitely need to do that more. I had so much fun riding with my kids!
Friday we were at baseball all day again. My mom and I stayed for both games while Jenny and Katie took the kids to an Easter activity at Ethel M Chocolate Factory. They had fun and it was nice to be able to watch the games without distractions. The Rascals played really well winning one game and then losing the second one by one run in the very end. Nick played so good! He was definitely ON! He had some great hits, a double and had quite a few great plays out in the field.
All the kids ended up going home with Amber to play and so Aubrey, Nick and I went shopping. He enjoyed his almost alone time with Mom a lot, and he got some new clothes too.
When we got home my mom, dad, Jenny, and Katie picked me up and we went out to dinner at Red Robin and to see Snitch. It was supposed to be a girls night out, but Mom let Dad come since he was leaving for China again on Monday. Fun, but busy, busy day.

Saturday started bright and early with Grandpa coming to take Chloe to the Spring Mountain Ranch egg hunt and the rest of us heading to an 8 o'clock baseball game. Rascals won their first game allowing them to play right after for the championship. They ended up losing by one point. They still received  trophies for coming in second, but those boys put up a good fight and were sad to have lost.

After baseball we rushed home to get ready for Joey's baptism. We were happily surprised when we heard the news. At the beginning of the week Karen asked the kids to sing. They were a little nervous so I sang with them, but they did great.
Nick had his primary pizza party, I did some Easter shopping, and then we colored eggs as a family.
Another LONG day, but a great end to a busy week.

March

March was kind of rough for me. I was gone for the first 9 days of the month and then I had a hard time getting back into the swing of things. It didn't help that we started baseball season and sometimes have 6 or 7 different practices a week added on to our already busy, busy schedule!

The Friday after I got back the boys had a Mother-Son game night at school. We went to eat at Cane's before we headed to the school. They had several minute to win it style games set up for us to do. We had lots of fun together. The theme for the night was super heroes so we all had matching shirts. The boys loved them and I think are shirts were perfect. My 3 Super Heroes Unite to make the ultimate one!
Nick is Captain America, just a genuine good guy, Cooper is Spider Man because he is always climbing every where, and Alex is the Hulk, he has a temper, but is still a good guy!
They are already talking about next years!

The next day Chloe had her second dance competition. Her team has moved up from the Tiny Tots and are now the Troopers. The show was running WAY behind so it ended up being a VERY long day. Still fun watching my girl dance!

1. Cruising with Chelsea for the beginning of the month. 2. Chris picked me up from the airport and took me to dinner at Brio for our 11th Anniversary. 3. Aubrey Ann started dance. She LOVED it and wants to wear her tights and dance clothes everyday! 4. After our fun game night at school, the boys and I went to Golden Spoon and brought everyone home a treat. 5. St. Patrick's Day on a Sunday. We had green chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and wore green to church and that was about the extent of our celebrations. 6. I am a crazy oil lady! I have been having fun experimenting with them and helping my family and myself feel better too. 7. Chris surprised me with an iPhone 5.   Even though my case was all torn up I was sad that it didn't fit my phone anymore. 8. Picture day and a little park time before school.
