Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a nice day! We woke up early to see what the bunny left, found eggs, had yummy crepes for breakfast and got ready for church at 9am!!
Church was good! I really enjoyed being in primary Sunday. The kids were all super good and it was nice to have such a sweet and simple message on what Easter is all about. Chris also mentioned that he really enjoys teaching his class.

We spent the afternoon playing games and taking naps before we went over to my mom and dad's for a yummy ham dinner.

I am very thankful for this Easter season and the chance it gives us to focus on our Savior, his resurrection and the atonement, all of which I am very thankful for!

Easter Saturday

Saturday was very much full of the fun Easter stuff for the kids. My family met at my mom's for a barbecue and egg hunt. Everyone was there except for Jordan and Amber. Dad grilled up some yummy burgers and we stuffed our faces with way too much food.

After lunch Grandma had Easter bags for all the kids with a swimsuit, a new outfit, a toy and lots of Easter candy.

Who needs the Easter Bunny when you have Grandma?!
We then went home to relax a little. Cooper and Aubrey took naps, Chris, Nick and Alex worked in the backyard and I made some treats. The weather was so nice we decided to walk to Tropical Smoothie for dinner. I loved it! It felt like we were in California or on a little trip. And after we came home we colored some eggs for the bunny to hide. Mostly Chris and the kids. Aubrey watched while having a snack. It was a very nice day all together as a family. Chris works most Saturdays so this is rare.

365- Week 16

04/16/11

Grandma Kaye and Makaylin. Kayli is such a happy girl all the time!!

04/17/11 I was very proud of myself for climbing this tree! We were playing hide and seek and I ran to the tree (base) and just decided to climb it to get away from Nick.

04/18/11

While we were staying at Jordan and Amber's there were lots of times when Aubrey would be standing up with something and she would just let go. It is crazy! She is not allowed to do that yet!!

04/19/11 Just a picture of my Panda's cute smile. I love this guy!

04/20/11 Cooper is usually one of the first ones up in the morning. He was the last one up this day, by far. I guess all the late nights in Ely caught up with him. And I love the way he is sleeping!

04/21/11 I know! I take alot of pictures of my kids sleeping. They are just so peaceful when they are asleep. Chloe was acting horrible this day and I sent her to her room and this is what I found when I went to check on her. I guess she was tired too!

04/22/11 A very much needed girls night! We went to Panera for dinner and just hung out all night chatting. They kicked us out because they were closing and then we continued to talk outside. We were lucky there were a few late stragglers too so somebody could take our picture!

The rest of our trip

After we got home from the train we had lunch and spent the rest of the day playing outside. We played hide and seek for a while, Sardines was pretty fun and then we played a game of kickball. Nick was in heaven being able to play outside all day!
Monday we hung out at the house. It rained off and on all day so we stayed inside and played board games. Aubrey wasn't such a good sleeper while we were gone so I napped while Jordan and Amber taught Nick and Chloe to play Monopoly. We went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and then went to their cute little movie theatre to see Rio.
Tuesday was time to go home. It was nice to hang out with Jordan and Amber all day and not have anything that I really had to do, but we missed Dad so we had to go home. And I needed Aubrey to sleep at night!!
I was a little nervous about driving back by myself. Only because I have never driven there (I was in the back with Aubrey on the way there) and I didn't have cell phone service for the majority of the trip if something were to happen. Chris made sure that OnStar would work the whole way before I left and I felt alot better about that. We were about 20 minutes out of Ely when I realized I forgot to get gas. These are some of the things that Chris always takes care of so I didn't even think about it. I am actually very thankful I did think about it when I did. A pain, but still close enough to turn around for gas. We made it home safe and sound without any stops, and the kids were excellent!!

Thanks Jordan and Amber for having us!!

{Train}

After my mom, dad, grandma, and Amber's parents all left we went down the street and for a train ride. White Pine County residents got to to ride for free for the weekend so that was nice!

The train didn't go super fast like I was imagining it would so it was actually really nice to sit outside. It got a little chilly as we got closer to the mountains, but it was a nice day.

The ride wasn't too long and towards the end the train conductor came around and punched everybodys tickets, just like on The Polar Express.

[Hotel]

Since the week after graduation was Spring Break I decided it would be fun to stay with Jordan and Amber for a couple of days. The first night we stayed in a hotel because Amber's parents were staying with them.

And a perk to staying at the hotel is a heated, indoor pool. My kids have been dieing to swim so they were super excited!

So we finished up our first night in Ely hanging out at the pool. I think it wore the kids out because they slept pretty good that night! Anytime I go somewhere by myself I am reminded of how much I depend on Chris for help. This little trip was no exception. After swimming I was in the hotel room trying to get all six of us showered and in bed, Aubrey was crying and I really missed Chris. He really does take care of me and help me so much and I am so thankful for him.
Staying in a hotel was nice, but again, alot of work by myself. Bringing all of our luggage up, setting up the playpen just for 1 night, to pack it all up and take it down less than 24 hours later. The next morning my grandma came and took the kids down to breakfast while I finished feeding Aubrey and checked to make sure that we didn't forget anything when I got a knock on the door. It was Nick and Chloe, my little bell hop kids. They were so cute, they loaded everything up and brought it downstairs all by themselves. My dad then brought it outside and loaded my car. I was very thankful for their help. It was a nice way to start the day!!

{Ely}

Jordan also graduated on the same day as Jenny from the Corrections Academy. Chris had to work so my mom, my grandma, my kids and I headed up to Ely on Saturday morning to have a little barbecue and celebrate Jordan. Mavrik and Makaylin won't be here for Easter so my mom brought their Easter presents and some eggs to hide for the kids. It was nice after being in the car for 4 hours to let them free!
After the kids found all the eggs Jordan pulled the 4 wheeler out and the kids all took turns going for rides. Amber's parents, Chuck and Debbie and my dad were already up in Ely for the graduation ceremony on Friday.

The kids love going riding! They finally had to quit when the sun went down.

[Paul Mitchell] THE SCHOOL Graduation

A week ago this last Friday Jenny had her graduation ceremony from cosmetology school. It seems like yesterday that we were at the school for Chloe to be her very first client, but then I think about it and that was a week before Aubrey was born. So Aubrey is Big now and Jenny is almost done with school. She has about a month left to finish up her hours before she can take the state boards.
As part of the graduation ceremony all the graduates had to show what they have learned being at Paul Mitchell and the theme was Mardi Gras. Jenny's friend Brittney, from high school was her model. She did her hair and make up and designed an outfit for her to wear. By far I think that Jenny's was the best and i am not even being biased!

We are so proud of Jenny for all of her hard work!!

Congrats Jennifer Ann!!

365- Week 15

04/09/11 My Dodger's boys playing around. Nick was holding Alex down so Cooper could give him kisses.

I love it when they play like this!

04/10/11

No Picture

Sundays are CrAZy! Church is at 9am , enough said. This was my first Sunday doing Sharing Time, I was very nervous. I got called about a month ago to be the 2nd counselor in the primary presidency. Chris just got called to be a Sunday school teacher for the 12 and 13 year olds.

04/11/11

Cooper fell on his scooter and the handle got his cheek.

Poor guy, another scare on his cute little freckled face.

04/12/11

This girl loves smoothies!

And she may still yours if you leave her and your smoothie unattended.

04/13/11
Chloe before school. She was so excited that we got a new electric pencil sharpener so she could earn some extra links at school by sharpening pencils for her teacher.
The things that make her happy!!

04/14/11
Alex and Cooper's new favorite thing to do is take the cushions off the couch and build stuff. This day was a house, complete with beds.

04/15/11

For more than 9 months Aubrey has slept on her back, never once rolling over in her bed or sitting up. Until this day! She kept sitting up and eventually fell asleep that way. I of course put her back on her back after I took a picture. I love a sleeping baby!

Doing good!

I am so glad that Nick is playing coach pitch for one more season. It has really given him the chance to excel. His team is doing really well this season, they have won all of their games up until this last one, they lost 14-15, it was a good game. We have had a break from baseball this last week and a half and it has been nice, but this week starts up again.

So lets go Dodgers!!

Granny with Nick and Zach (they are 2nd cousins).

{little bunny}

I got Aubrey some bunny ears a couple of weeks ago and just for fun I put a tutu on her and had fun snapping some pictures. These are just a few of my favorites.

Amber visits again!

Here ya go Amber, 3 posts in 1 day!

(I am sorry to tell you that I won't be able to keep it up though)

Amber came into town this week for her mom's birthday, so we got to hang out yesterday. Nick and Chloe were very excited that she was at our house when they got home from school.

It's official...

we have a crawler!

Just in this last week Aubrey has taken off. She follows me now when she wants me to hold her. And she is getting into stuff! I guess it is back to putting books back on the shelf all day and keeping the floors spic and span!

365- Week 14

Another week gone.

04/02/11We just got home on Saturday after baseball practice for Alex and Cooper and a game for Nick. I started pulling some weeds and the kids thought it was fun to help. They were trying to see who could get the most.

04/03/11(didn't really take any pictures on Sunday) We had a BIG conference breakfast complete with homemade cinnamon rolls and watched conference together as a family. When the prophet spoke I made sure that all the kids were paying attention. I really liked his message! Nick said that the Prophet said we have to have a picture of the temple in every room in the house. So that is what we are doing. This picture is for the little boy's room.

04/04/11 Alex and Cooper had a baseball game Monday night. Cooper did really well! He got great hits every time he was up to bat and he even stopped some grounders and threw them to first base. And because he did so great he got the game ball. He was so excited!! He even took it to school the next day to show his teacher.
04/05/11

I got Chris tickets to see Rise Against for Valentine's Day. Victor took the boys to their different baseball practices and we dropped the girls off at my mom's and we headed to the Hard Rock. Definitely not my kind of music, but Chris loved it!

04/06/11

Chris loves to scare people. He gets me all the time. But he recently started scaring Nick, so now Nick is in the game. As soon as Nick heard the garage door go up he ran into the laundry room to hide. He has got his dad a couple of times and his dad does NOT like that.

04/07/11

Yesterday all the kids were ready for school, had eaten breakfast, lunches were made and they still had time to play. I love days like that! Alex and Nick were sliding on their bellies playing some sort of game with a ball having a complete blast!

Everyone that comes over to our house asks me what I am going to put in the empty room downstairs. For now I love that it is empty for this very reason. (The picture just said "Alex" and he told me write "rocks!")

04/08/11

My kids have been dieing to swim for months now. It was finally starting to warm up and we were talking about going swimming soon to only have it cool down again. So after we picked up Alex from school the boys went swimming in my bathtub.

365- Week 13

The weeks seem to be going by faster and faster! Where did March go?!

As our lives get busier and busier I forget to take pictures (or at least focus on taking good pictures). We are running from one activity to the next pretty much everyday lately. Even though this week (365-week) is half way done I am going to try and focus on getting some good pictures!

03/26/11 We were sitting in Chelsea's living room talking while Aubrey was playing on the floor. We were both looking at Aubrey, and SHE CRAWLED! We both looked at each other and were like, "She just crawled!!!". It was pretty funny! Chris was sad that he wasn't with me to see, but while Aubrey was crawling for her first time Nick was hitting a grand slam and a home run. I have only missed two other game besides this one since he started playing baseball and I was sad that I missed my boy doing so well while I was out of town.

03/27/11Chloe and Aubrey all ready for church.
03/28/11I love that Chloe still sleeps with her baby! She is getting so big, so quick! I like that in some ways she is still my little girl!

03/29/11 I hate homework!! I know that my kids need it to reinforce what they learned at school, but I really hate this time of day! Chloe, Alex, and Cooper all need my help. Chloe has to read from her book for 30 minutes, Alex has to read his reader a couple of times and Nick has to read his chapter book. Sign this, read this, fill out this log, it takes forever and I just hate it!

03/30/11

But bedtime is another story...I love it! I love that everyone is clean. I love that we can read scriptures together as a family and have family prayer. I love that my kids want to give me a bunch of kisses. And I love that little bit of quiet time that Chris and I have together after all the kids are in bed!

03/31/11I love these shiny little faces all lotion ed up for the day!! I love Aubrey's bed head that she has every morning when I take the kids to school because she sleeps so long I have to take her directly from her bed.

04/01/11

All the kids wore their Dodger shirts to school on Friday because Nick had a game that night. Their team played a really good game and they won 19 to 1. My dad got back from China after the game so we went to dinner with all my family, minus Jordan and Amber at Macayo's. Even Grandma came to the game and dinner. It was a good day!
