Happy 9th Birthday Nick!

Nine years ago today I became a mom.
Not long after we were married I found out that I was pregnant.
All I ever wanted was to be a mom.
And Nicholas Ryan made me one!
He was the best baby ever!
And is still an awesome boy!
I am so thankful he is part of our family.
I love that boy to pieces!

Nine things about my 9 year old boy:

1. He loves to read as long as it is a Diary of a Wimpy Kid book.
2. He is awesome at baseball and loves it! Wants to play catch all the time.
3. Nick is pretty much great at everything he wants to do. He started piano when school started in the fall and is doing awesome. Granny has been amazed at well he is doing.
4. Still the sweetest boy ever. He has a good heart and really cares about other people's feelings.
5. He is a complete daddy's boy!! But you will never get him to admit that because he doesn't want to hurt my feelings.
6. He loves to play anything! He is very active and loves to be on the go whether it is playing baseball, fishing, riding bikes, he just wants to be doing something!
7. This boy is awesome with babies and kids. Aubrey adores him. He is such a good big brother and is great with all of his cousins. While at Thanksgiving dinner he just found out that my grandma only has 1 brother and he said, "how sad." I was so happy that he loves having a big family.
8. He is a very emotional boy. I am thankful for his sweet spirit.
9. His new nick name has become "Picky-Nicky". I started calling him this mostly because it rhymed, but it seems to fit him, especially with food.
Happy birthday Nick!
We love you to the moon and back!

A nice long weekend!

I think this is the longest that we have ever had Chris all to ourselves, no working.
Five whole days in a row!
It was so nice!

On Friday we got up and did a little shopping at Target. Alex and Nick headed to Ely with my dad to go see Jordan.

We went to Smash burger (again! we love it!) with Jeremy and Juli and then to Old Navy for some more shopping.
After some much need naps Chris got the Christmas boxes out and we put up the tree.
We had the Christmas music on and it was so nice to get into the Christmas spirit!
Chris put the star on top.
Chloe and I went and picked up some Outback for dinner. While we were out Chloe saw a preview playing for Breaking Dawn on the South Point sign. She asked if she could go see it. I told her that I didn't think it would be appropriate since there was lots of kissing and stuff and said you guys don't even like kissing. She immediately said, "I do!!". It was too funny!
So after we ate dinner we went on a little impromptu date just the 2 of us. She loved it! It was a late movie and she stayed awake the whole time.
After we got out at 11:30pm we had some fun in the little photo booth, she loved that too!

Saturday Jordan sent me some pictures of what they were upto in Ely.
They went fishing and shooting, out to eat, and rented movies.
When the boys got home Saturday night they were so excited wanting to tell Chris and I everything that they did.
Nice, LONG, relaxing weekend spent together! Love it!

Thanksgiving

(My Indians and one little pilgrim)

Thanksgiving means 3 thinks to me: Gratitude, family, and food.
And that is what our day was full of!
We followed tradition with Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's house. My Aunt Chris and Uncle Gary came from St. George with their kids and my Grandma was there too.
We had a yummy dinner and way too many treats. And then enjoyed a game of Party-ini.
And Grandma gave all the kids their Christmas pajamas and they had fun playing together.

11/24/11
Aubrey and Lucy playing together in the toy closet.

BLACK FRIDAY!
Technically this picture was taken on Thursday. I decided to give Black Friday a try for my first time. When I walked into Walmart 5 minutes after their 10pm sale started this is what I found. You couldn't even walk in there. It was CRAZY!!
I ran into Danielle there. We teamed up to get her pots that she wanted and then headed to
Toys 'r' Us. We tried Old Navy and Target, but the lines were too long! I had fun, but only because I wasn't by myself in all that craziness!

365- Week 46

11/12/11
While we were at the Race 4 Rob Alex and Cooper were with Grandpa Victor at the air show. They came home looking like little soldiers and they loved it!

11/13/11
All ready for church on the morning of the primary program. Nick, Chloe, Alex, Cooper and I all had parts. The kids did great. Chloe, Alex and Cooper memorized their parts all by their selves.

11/14/11
This is Alex's plate of the things that he is thankful for. Our family, Jesus Christ, coloring, T.V., teachers, his friends, our house, USA, and chicken nuggets.

11/15/11
Aubrey being a happy girl!

11/16/11

11/17/11
Thursday morning Cooper, Aubrey, and I went to a craft show over by the temple with my mom, Jenny, Amber, Juli, Lucy, and Everett. Jenny talked Cooper into wearing this headband. It was pretty funny!

11/18/11
The Lady Antebellum Concert. At one point Josh Kelly and the other guy (I can't remember his name!) that opened came onto the stage and they did a number all together. It was fun!

[Lady Antebellum]

The night after we stayed up for Breaking Dawn, Jenny, Katie, and I stayed up again!
Jenny and I got Katie Lady Antebellum tickets for her birthday, so Friday was the day for the concert. I am so not a screamer, go CRazy type person, but I had a good time. It was fun singing along and we were actually really close.
(Jenny and Katie wanted to be closer, but I didn't want to make any enemies)
Afterwards we went to Serendipity 3 over at the Caesars. We literally ran there hoping to get dinner, but no such luck for us. We had to settle for a side of fries and dessert. But it was still good and lots of laughs shared with my cute sisters. A good night!!

Thankful- Day 20

I am thankful for food! Not only do we have what we need, but extra. Food makes me happy so I am definitely thankful for it!!
