Red, White, and Blue!!

I love the Fourth of July. I am grateful to live in the land of the free! I am grateful for the brave who give their lives and fight for me! I am Proud to be an American!

I was a little disappointed when I heard that the stake wasn't doing a 4th of July breakfast and bike parade, so I decided to do my own! I made cinnamon rolls and Chris whipped up some yummy french toast and bacon and all my family came over for our own little feast! The kids had a good time playing in the backyard and then we headed to the front for a kind-of-chaotic bike parade. It was already really hot, but we looked awesome as we took our ride/walk around the block. Lots of fun!

Everyone went home to rest for the rest of the day. Nick and Ben headed off to San Diego with Jordan and Amber. They watched fireworks from the harbor and went to a Dodgers game on Sunday. The rest of us swam and BBQ'd at my mom's. We went to Jenny's boyfriend, Ashton's house for some fireworks. "The Spanish Trails Police" came and told us we weren't allowed to do fireworks, so we cleaned up and headed home. The whole drive home Chloe and Alex were watching the fireworks from all over the valley saying how lucky everyone was because they got to do all their fireworks. Poor kids! We got home just in time to watch our neighbor's firework show. They had some of the good stuff. And then it was off to bed!! It was a very long, FUN day!

Swimmy Day

The kids didn't have school today so we spent the day in the pool. Cooper had to have a nap in the afternoon, so I got to play with my little fishes for a while. Nick, Chloe and Alex are now swimming with no floaties! That is so exciting to me!

Jordan got done working early so he came swimming with the kids. He was throwing them and flipping them, and doing all sorts of tricks. It was so fun to see Alex get thrown into the middle of the pool and swim to the side all by himself.

BIG Boy

It seems SO strange to me that my baby is so big! He is still very much a mama's boy, but he is growing up right before my eyes and becoming a very independent little boy! He started swim lessons last week and can now swim about half way across the pool. He loves swimming back forth to me, and does it over and over. It is just too funny to watch. He stands on the stairs and says, "one, two, three, four, five, six, eight, nine, ten...U-uuuuuH!" We went to one of Katie's swim meets a little while back and he know mimics the horn they used.

A couple of weeks ago I woke up one morning and just decided to potty train Cooper. It was way easier than I thought it would be and I think it is official Cooper is a "Big Boy" now!
His prize for doing so well was a Buzz and Woody toddler bed set. He loves it! So now he climbs in the crib all the time to just play in there. I have thought about taking the side off, so it would be a toddler bed, but I like thinking that he is still little, at least for a little while longer.

What happen to June?

It seems as though I couldn't wait for June to come. Fun things were planned, family was coming to visit, Jenny was graduating, and now it is all over! The kids are almost done with school and then we can enjoy our summer in the pool! A very short park day! Even though it wasn't nearly as hot as it usually is, it only took minutes for their little faces to turn bright red.
My Aunts Lynda, Tammy, and Lisa came into town for Jenny's graduation. This is Lynda with the "girl's club". The secret password to join them is "Hello Kitty". They had such a blast and Lynda was such a good sport playing with them!

The beautiful graduate!! The first in our family to graduate with honors! Go Jenny! We are so proud of you!
Chris and I painted the whole inside of the house (more Chris than me!) and while the fan was out drying the walls Nick had a fun time having "big muscles"!

While we are actually painting they had to spend alot of time in the backyard. I am so glad they are such good sports!
At the beginning of the month I was recovering again and that meant lots of free playtime for the kids. I just love it when they play so well together!!
And what month would be complete without a night with the girls!! Fun times!! FIESTA!!

Water Day!

Every year about this time the Early Childhood class at Alamo has water day and this was our 5th year going. We had double duty this year too because Alex is in the morning class and Chloe is in the afternoon. So we spent the entire day outside. The kids had a blast, hopefully they will sleep good tonight!! I only manned the snow cone maker and I am pooped! Even though we will be going to a new school next year Bonnie said we are always invited to water day.

After school when Nick came in from kindergarten Cooper ran up to Nick and gave him a hug. I love those moments. When they aren't fighting, just loving each other. Cooper wanted to carry Nick's backpack and only wanted to hold Nick's hand. It was too cute! And I love that Nick is such a good big brother!

Happy Father's Day!!

I am so thankful this Father's Day to have such a good husband and I am so grateful that he is also a wonderful father! I am extremely thankful for his work ethic, and the amount of work he does to support our family and let me stay home with our kids. I am so thankful to have a man who stands beside me no matter what. I am so thankful for the Eternal family that we have created! I hope you had a great day!! We love you!

Last night Chris started playing hide-and-seek with the kids while I was baking all his goodies for today. It started out pretty basic, and ended up with a hide-a-thon between the 2 of us. Lots of fun! And the kids learned some good hiding spots in the mean time.

Bowling!

Over the weekend we went bowling with some good friends of ours. The kids had a blast! Cooper liked it so much I spent most of the night trying to make sure that he didn't take anybody elses turn. Taking turns is a hard concept for this two-year old! And just because you have your own shoes and ball doesn't mean you are any good! I guess at least for me! Chris did super good winning it for the guys. We ended our night at Red Robin for dinner! Super yum and a fun night!!
