A BUSY Weekend!

We (Alex, Cooper, and I) started off Friday at the school running back and forth on the field between Nick and Chloe's classes trying to watch all of their Field Day events! All the classes were split into teams by color, Chloe and Nick ended up both being blue. They both did really well in all of the events and both of their teams got First Place ribbons.

After Field Day we grabbed some lunch and headed to the fire station. Cooper had his first Parent Involvement Activity and he was super excited to go. I have been wanting to take my kids to the fire station for quite some time, so even I was excited for this trip.

The Captain took us on a tour through the station and told us some facts, mostly for the parents and then let the kids climb on the trucks and shoot the fire hose. Cooper was pretty shy while we were there so he didn't shoot it, but he was thrilled to get to "drive" the truck!

On Saturday Nick had one of his tournament games. They played the only other team that has been undefeated and beat them! Nick got a couple of good hits and played well.

After the game we headed to my mom's for Chloe's birthday party. She is still into Hello Kitty, so we did that theme again. We had some family and friends over to swim and BBQ. The weather wasn't as warm as I hoped it would be, but the kids still had fun swimming.

As usual this girl totally made out! She got a DS and lots of Hello Kitty stuff.

Sunday was my dad's birthday so we had another family dinner.

It was a fun weekend, but I think I am still recovering (and I know my house is)!!
