FTF- bowling

Last Friday we went bowling for our "fun Friday" as Nick and Chloe call it now.
We picked up Ben and Hailey and met the Wong's at the Red Rock.
Cooper was an awesome little bowler! He beat everyone the first game.
Aubrey was pretty hard. She was grumpy most of the time. After she realized she did like bowling she had a hard time taking turns. We all had fun and I kind of enjoyed throwing a bowling ball again!

Only 11 kids today!
Aidan, Alex, Kegan, Josie, Taylor, Chloe, Cooper, Nick, Hailey, and Ben (Aubrey was NOT cooperating)

After bowling we went across the street and had lunch at Burger King. It was nice to let the kids run free for a bit and get to chat with Danielle. And what trip to Burger King would be complete without ice cream!!??

Nick is loving the All Star experience. Everyone on the team got new personalized bat bags, personalized fitted hats, helmets, and their name is on their jerseys. Nick said having his name on his jersey is his favorite part!

Aubrey Ann went to the doctor for her 2 year well check.
She is maintaining her 50% in height and weight.
She still is NOT a fa of the doctor and cries when he comes in the room.
2 shots and not so happy about that, but nothing that a doughnut and "mouse" balloon can't fix!

06/27/12
While Juli was at girl's camp her kids hung out with us for a couple of days.
Here is Alex, Cooper, and Will after we got home from the splash pad.
Note to self: 9 kids is a lot!

06/28/12
Nick had his first All Star game.
They didn't win, but they still had fun!
It was SOOOO hot!
I am not a fan of this summer baseball thing!
I don't know how those boys do it!

06/29/12
Cooper and Alex got to have an ice cream date with Granny Denton.

06/30/12
These 2 are still little buddies!

Random Trip

 06.25.12
Chelsea and I have been trying to plan a date to get together for a while now and with her busy schedule and my busy schedule it just hasn't been that easy. So last Sunday I text her and asked her what she was doing the next day. She had some errands and other stuff she needed to do, but dropped it all so we could come play! Nick had baseball practice so he stayed with Grandma Karen for the day while the other kids and I headed to St. George. We stopped at Chelsea's house first to chat and let the kids play before we went to grab some lunch at Kneader's. My grandma had just been in St. George and said I needed to go this cute little cafe and bakery. It was very yummy! We took our lunch to go and ate at a little rock river/ splash pad. My kids LOVED it! And even Aubrey went in after a little while.
After we couldn't handle sweating anymore we made the kids leave to go get snow cones.
Nick was nice enough to let us come hang out at work with him for a little bit, so the kids could have a mini field trip to the St. George Airport. He took us for a ride in the BIG firetruck, turned the sirens on, and shot the water hose. We watched some little private planes take off and the kids even got to try on some fire gear. As you can tell from the pictures Alex LOVED it! I can't remember what he was saying while he was dancing, but he made me laugh!
We couldn't stay much longer after that. Our dad gave us a curfew, so we grabbed Pizza Factory and headed home. Definitely a fun filled day! Thanks Chelsea!!

Oh Two-dles!

 Someone had a birthday!!
Even though I didn't want this day to come, it did and my baby is now 2 years old!

Aubrey woke up to balloons, presents, and cinamon rolls, some of her favorite things.
She was so happy all day and I know she LOVED all the extra attention!

I wasn't going to do a party, just keep it low key, all about Aubrey day, but my family told me she HAD to have a party. After I made her MICKEY letters for her name, I was pretty excited to give her a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party! She LOVES Mickey and asks to watch "mouse".
Everyone swam and we had some snacks.
Total cheese-y smile complete with a Cheeto mess!
Of course we had to have "pizza-pizza" for dinner. Aubrey LOVES pizza and gets so excited when the pizza delivery guy comes!
We sang Happy Birthday. She LOVED it and Alex helped her blow her candles.

We opened presents and enjoyed being with all of our family. Just mine and Chris' family together is 40ish people and not all of them were there. So much for a small party!

I think she had a great day!
We couldn't be more blessed to have her as a part of our family.
 Happy 2nd birthday Aubrey Ann!!

FTF- Anderson Dairy

 06.22.12
We went to Anderson Dairy again for another field trip this summer.
I learned a little bit more this year and I enjoyed watching the milk gallons on the conveyor belt be filled up.
I think it is pretty neat.
Nick and Chloe were sure to let me know that they were getting too old for the talking animals and told me that it was boring because we went last year.
That is until they got their ice cream at the end and then it was fun again!
Thank you Staci for setting up another field trip for all of us!!

365- Week 24

 06/17/12

My mom, dad, Jenny, and Katie came over for some cake and ice cream for my mom's birthday.
Poor Mom had to share her birthday with Father's Day.

06/18/12
Nick has been waiting for this day since before his regular baseball season ended, All Stars.
And they are serious! They practice everyday of the week! Nick LOVES it though!

I have been doing some crafting lately. Sometimes I pretend like I am totally dependent and don't need Chris to do projects like this...but then I realize I do need him! And I am so glad he is willing to help.
And I am also glad he isn't mad when I HATE how the project turns out and just want to throw it away.

06/21/12
3 cute little kids having some lunch
We had 14 kids between the 3 of us while we were getting our craft on!

06/22/12
I LOVE 4th of July and was glad that we got a couple of crafts complete together, even if it was crazy with so many kids!

06/23/12
Happy birthday to my little princess!

Father's Day

We celebrated the Saturday before Father's Day with my whole family at Buca di Beppo.
It was a combined celebration for my mom's birthday too.
I am so blessed to have a good husband!
I am so thankful for the good man that he is and for the man he is trying to become.
He keeps me grounded. He takes care of me. He loves me entirely.
I am thankful that he is a good dad and is always there for our kids.

We tried to spoil our dad a little on his special day.
We made banana bread french toast, hash browns, eggs, and sausage.
We made him some butterscotch cookies to share with his Young Men.
We made him a banner and lots of cards.
We made his favorite dinner, parmesan chicken and mashed potatoes and he requested chocolate-cherry fudge cake which he so kindly let us put candles in for my mom's birthday.

I am thankful to have an awesome dad. I am thankful for the good example he is and for his kind heart.
I am thankful that Chris and my dad could spend their Father's Day morning giving Chris' dad a priesthood blessing. I am thankful for Chris' dad, Victor too. He is good man with a big heart and does so much to help me and I am grateful.

Happy, happy Father's Day!!
