KAR Competition

Chloe has another competition under belt now!

And they really rocked this one!

Chloe was SUPER tired after being outside pretty much from 7am until we had to get ready to go at 3pm. Not to mention it was super hot outside. She was SUPER bummed that Dad and Grandma Debbie were both in UT for Youth Conference. She did have lots of melt downs for those reason and many others.

But when it was time to dance she went out there and shook it like no other!!

They ended up winning overall for their Hokey Pokey dance!

Jenny raced to get there after work and missed the first number because the show was running early. But to see Chloe's face light up when she saw Jenny was priceless. She was SO happy to have her there!

Afterwards Jenny took Chloe and I to a special dinner at Macaroni Grill. It was late... we were all tired, but it was lots of fun. Chloe had us cracking up. She is definitely my child! I was a complete spaz like that when I was little!!

2012 Pinewood Derby

Just like last year, we have been stinkin' busy and so Nick's pinewood derby got put off until the night before the race. Chris and Nick stayed up late Thursday night painting it and Chris put the wheels on right before he left town Friday afternoon (he went to UT for youth conference).

Luckily Chris sent his dad in his place to drill Nick's car if it was too heavy and it is a good thing he came because Chris' scale must be broken. So we are very thankful for Grandpa being there to save the day!

Nick's car ended up coming in 1st place! You never would have known that it was his car that was winning because Nick just sat there oh, so calm while all the other boys were cheering and screaming. He just had a little grin on his face.

Way to go Nick!!

Nueve de Mayo [BUNCO]

May Bunco was held Cinco de Mayo style complete with mustaches which caused an impromptu photo session. Scary how manly we all look!!

Cousins {park day}

We were watching Mavrik and Makaylin so Amber could get some stuff done in their new house. After lunch we stopped at the park to play before nap time.

And boy did it work! Besides Cooper they all took nice long naps!

Doing a little puzzle in the morning before school. Alex is ALWAYS my early riser and is just waiting for someone to wake up and play with him. He probably woke Chloe up, but she was eager to help with the puzzle too.

Teacher appreciation week at school. Tuesday we gave all their teachers a soda that said , "I am 'soda-lighted' that you have been my teacher this year!".

Wednesday the kids were supposed to bring school supplies for their teachers. So we got paper clips, tape, and glue sticks and said, "I am so happy I got 'stuck" with you this year!"

Thursday the kids were supposed to bring a fruit. They brought them bananas and said, "Thanks 'a bunch' for being my teacher!"

Friday the kids all came home with little presents for Mother's day. They were so excited they couldn't wait to give them to me. Nick gave me a ring that he made and a poem, Chloe gave me the plant and a card, Alex gave me the little picture frame and a card, and Cooper gave me a poem with his hand print. When I read the poem from Cooper I cried!

I miss you when we're not together

I am growing up so fast

See how big I have gotten
