Happy 5th Birthday Cooper

Oh where, oh where has the last 5 years gone?? I can NOT believe that my baby boy is 5 today! Cooper has changed so much these last couple of years. He has gone from a complete mama's boy to an independent, big boy. Cooper is still super funny and the sweetest. He and Aubrey play so well together, they are little buddies. Cooper play so well with the other kids when he has them alone. He is all their little buddies.

Five things about Coop-Coop:

1. Still LOVES Transformers. Just about every week he brings a different Transformer to school for "Share Day".
2. Cooper can ride his bike with no training wheels. He got a new bike from Santa and was so disappointed when he saw that it had training wheels. He had Chris take them off and has been rocking it since.
3. His favorite food is still meatballs and rice, but would live off of candy if he could.
4. Cooper is doing really well at school he knows almost all of his letters and has started spelling a few words.
5. He wants to do everything like Nick. I took him to get a new baseball bag and really wanted one like Nick.

President's Day. No school. The kids played really well together all day. There is a picture of me and my brothers and sisters at my mom's house with all of us doing a pyramid and Jordan is giving a thumbs up, so Nick wanted to do it too!

{1st Competition}

Saturday we spent the day at Ham Hall at UNLV for Chloe's first dance competition. It was a very long afternoon. Kind of stressful at times because I am definitely NOT a "dance mom" and I can't handle the stress and the drama. Chloe did great and I think she really liked the award ceremony fun that she got to experience with her team for the first time.

Her team had 2 numbers, "Hokey-Pokey" and "Tisket Tasket". They got 2nd place for their age group for Hokey-Pokey and best costumes for the other dance. I totally forgot to get pictures in her other costume. I have next time right! I am definitely learning though. Next time I will know more of what to expect and I will know that it probably isn't the best place for Aubrey. She was great though the whole time without a nap too.

Great job Chloe! I loved watching you shake it!

365- Week 7

We spent the evening making Valentine's for each other and the kids school friends.

We spent all morning at the dermatologist office. Alex was super brave while he had to have the warts on his chin frozen off yet again!

02/14/12Nick, Chloe, and I spent our Valentine's Day morning at the dentist office. The kids only had to have cleanings, so for them it was the best day ever. They really said that! They got their very own tongue scrapers!! For me, not so much fun. I had to have a filling replaced.

All 14 Anderson grand kids! Not so easy to get them all to sit and stay let alone look at the camera and smile! We were all together for Lucas' blessing and dinner at Josh and Amber's. Jeremy did a great job on his blessing!

The kids have these projects that they bring home about once or twice a month and they can decorate them however they want. Chloe has been doing a lot of them to finally receive an award. Nick and Alex both received an award for theirs on the first one they did, so we have been waiting for this day. Glad it finally paid off because it took a long time do glue all the tissue paper on there!

I think Cooper and Everett would play all day every day together if they could. Friday they went to the museum together then to Everett's to play and spend the night. After I picked up Cooper Everett came to play at our house. Glad they are best buddies!

Lied Discovery Museum

Juli invited us to the Lied Discovery Museum yesterday. They have a new Curious George area and so we went for a little pre birthday celebration for Lucy. Amber, Everett, Jordyn, and Lucas came too. The museum was crazy busy with tons of elementary school kids on field trips! The kids still had a fun time while they played and explored for a couple of hours. After we couldn't take anymore we all headed to Jason's Deli for lunch. Fun, fun day!

{A Lover's Holiday}

Every year I think I love Valentine's Day a little more. I love that we have a day dedicated to showing those we love just how much we love them. It is just a happy day!

I think everyday could be just as happy with everything covered in red and pink hearts and love notes everywhere!

Chris surprised me with a bike and trailer. I have been wanting one for a while so I don;t have to run behind the kids and try and keep up! We exchanged cards, gave lots of hugs and kisses, and spent the day being together. We had our 2nd annual Valentine's Day dinner(picnic -style) while watching a movie. The kids love that! Pretty much another day, but with lots of LOVE!

365- Week 6

I am not really a football fan, so I don't really care much about the Superbowl, the actual game that is. I do love a Superbowl party though! Good food and good company, never go wrong with that! And Aubrey thinks so too!

Very cold outside, but not stopping these guys from playing outside. Chris came home from work and thought I was crazy for letting them be out there. I was just enjoying making dinner in peace and quiet even if it was only for a little bit!

All of my siblings and their spouses and my parents were together for Katie's patriarchal blessing. It was a beautiful blessing!

Chris spent the day helping Jenny paint her room, so we came over to check out her room.

Girl's night in honor of Heather's birthday. We grabbed some food at I heart burgers and then went to see The Vow. I loved it!
