New Years Baby

Chris' little brother, Tristen and his wife Tahtiana had their baby New Years day.
Landon Devon Lichty
7 lbs. 4 oz.
18 inches long

Poor little guy is still in the NICU. We can't wait for him to get better so that he can come home.

Snow Day

New Years Day tradition for our family has turned into going to the snow. I love that we have these traditions for the kids. Jenny, Katie, and Ashton joined us up at Lee Canyon for some snow fun. We made snow angels, attempted a snow man, sledded down the hill, had a snowball fight, and enjoyed some hot cocoa.
Chris says that if we want to keep this tradition we are going to have to go way earlier so it isn't so crazy busy. We still managed to have some good family fun though.

NYE 2011

We spent New Year's Eve partying at my mom's. We had some friends over anad played some games and had lots of yummy food. Nick and Alex were troopers and made it to 12:00 so they could do some poppers and shoot confetti all over Grandma's house.

December Randomness

Just love this girl and I love to take her picture!!
Our playhouse (A.K.A. the barn) made it over to our new house. Nick was on a date with Grandma Karen, but Chloe, Alex, and Cooper got a kick out of watching it "fly" into the backyard.
Aubrey doesn't sleep that well when we are out, she prefers to be in her bed, but if she has a magical Santa hat on then she sleeps "like a baby"! Alex had a holiday performance. They sang the Chipmunk song and a couple of others. He is not a fan of singing so we pretty much just watched him trade spots with the other kids as he moved along the back.
The kids got to go see their new cousin Taylor. Aubrey looks like a monster compared to that tiny baby! I just want her to be tiny again!!
Of course Chloe was in heaven!
I went and helped Alex's class decorate gingerbread houses.
The first graders also had a holiday performance. Chloe's class did Jingle Bell Rock.
I came earlier that morning and helped a couple of the other moms paint their faces so they could be little rock stars!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning the kids were good to Chris and I, they didn't wake up too early. At least not that I know of. I do know that Chloe already knew stocking gifts, so she must have been sneakin' earlier. We came downstairs and the kids saw what Santa put in their stockings and then we headed outside to see what else Santa left for the kids.
They were super excited when they looked out the window and saw a trampoline! I guess it is kind of a good thing that it was freezing outside or they might have stayed out there all morning.

We came back in and opened up all the presents. Chloe loved her baby and baby clothes. Alex and Cooper loved their Transformers. Nick was excited for his Deal or No Deal DS game. And little Aubee loved the dollar that came in her purse from Santa.

Chris made us yummy breakfast while the kids played with all their new stuff and we got ready for the day. We then went to see Tristen, Tahtiana, Melissa, Robert, Grandpa Victor, Hayden, Taylor, Grandma Karen, Granny and Grandpa to visit and hand out presents. After those stops we headed over to my mom's to open gifts there. She holds all our gifts hostage so we have to some see her on Christmas! The kids played with their new stuff there with their cousins.
They don't even really need Santa, they have Grandma!!
We hung out for a while and then went to dinner at Gardunos with Mom, Dad, Jenny, Katie, Jeremy, Juli, Ben, Hailey, Will, and Lucy and we even ran into Grandpa Mike and Grandma Kaye while we were there.
Christmas came way too fast for me this year, so I am glad to say it is over! I am thankful that we did have such a nice Christmas with our family and I am especially thankful for the birth of our Savior!

Christmas Eve

I think Christmas Eve dinner was pretty much the same company as Thanksgiving. Just our family is BIG, but it seems it seems so small with just us. We had a yummy ham and turkey dinner and way too many treats to eat. We all had a fun night talking and sharing gifts. Mom made sure that we each had a gift to open for Christmas Eve. We all had to get home at a decent hour so we could get ready for Santa!!
Josh, Jeremy, & Jordan singing (I like Jeremy's mic!) probably Delta Dawn or another oldie that we were forced to listen to growing up=)

Polar Express

We headed to Williams, AZ the day before Christmas Eve to ride the Polar Express.
We loaded up into 2 cars this time because there was 16 of us. We grabbed McDonalds for lunch (the kids request) and headed out of town.
There was a lot of snow this year and it was freezing.
Chloe asked Grandma if we could go to the deer farm, so we went. It was totally cold and muddy and most of the kids just cried because they were scared. So that was no fun!
But we cleaned up a bit and went to dinner at the Pizza Factory which is always a yummy part of the tradition.
After dinner it was time to board the train.
We had hot chocolate and cookies and listen to the story of the Polar Express.
Santa got on the train and gave each of the kids a bell.
But...
only if they believed!!
