Wet 'n' Wild

We are lucky to have great friends, and lucky for my kids they have Gold passes to Wet 'n' Wild so they let us all join them on one of their "bring a friend" days. 

Besides the two little ones everyone is old enough to ride the rides so Lauren and I waited at the bottom with Aubrey and Natalie while the big kids rode all the slides. Everyone LOVED the lazy river and probably would have rode that around the whole day!

Besides for losing Cooper it was a great day! Thanks Lauren for taking us!

Showcase 2013 {"Dance from your Heart"}

This was Aubrey's first dance recital and Chloe's sixth recital. I was so proud of both of them. They both danced great. I knew Chloe would, we have watched her perform at all her competitions, but Aubrey was another story. She LOVES dance class but because of her personality I was going to be happy if she even went on the stage. But she did so awesome!! I tried to get a picture of her with her teacher, Ms. Kayla, but her difficult side came out and she wasn't having it! Chloe only had 2 teachers this year. Ms. Britney for jazz, tap, and team and Ms. Marissa for ballet. Chloe absolutely LOVES Ms. Britney so I am glad she will still get to have her over at the new studio. It was an emotional day as this will be the last recital at Dance Fusion. Change is hard, but we are excited for new dance opportunities. Not so much the farther drive though;(

With Lucy, Makaylin, Jordyn, Maile, Becca, and Lexi all in the recital too we had so many family and friends there. My girls loved it! Grandma, Jenny, Katie, Amber, Josh, Everett, Jordan, Amber, Mavrik, Grandpa Victor, Grandma Karen, Joey, Granny, Grandma Kaye, Jeremy, Mical, Ben, Hailey, Will, and Juli.

Chloe, Katie and I went to the 2nd show. It was fun to see all the dances and the main reason for going was to see the Dance Fusion Alumni and teachers dance. It was so fun!! They did great!!

2013 All Stars

The day after we got back from the beach Nick had his team party to end the short season at Cici's Pizza.

They only played four games but they worked hard and gave it their all. All the games were at the end of June and Beginning of July when we had that crazy heat wave. Poor Nick was catcher during some of those games and was just a sweating like crazy. I always love to watch Nick play and he is happy to play ball any chance he can!!

Beach week: Day 5

Sleeping in hotels is always fun! I had a king sized bed so Aubrey slept with me every night and the other kids took turns sleeping with us too. Always makes for some not so good sleep for mama.

Friday was our last day in California. Mom, Dad, and Katie had enough of the beach and headed home that morning. The rest of us needed some more time, so we headed to Newport again since Josh, Amber, and Joey weren't with us on Tuesday. My plan wasn't to stay all day since we had to drive home that night, but we were all just having such a good time before I knew it it was 6 PM. We built sand castles, boogie boarded, found sand crabs, and searched for shells. And we had to try the famous donuts from Newport Pier, and they were pretty tasty!!

Driving back to LasVegas during CA rush hour wasn't fun, but we made it home safe and sound and had a great week in Cali!!

Beach week: Day 4

Thursday we went back to Huntington beach. It was kind of cloudy and the waves were HUGE.

Nick was out boogie boarding when a huge wave took him to the bottom and tossed him around. I am glad Josh was out with him and even though he didn't see it happen he was able to help him come in. Nick was in a lot of pain and it kind of freaked me out since Chris wasn't with us. Josh had the life guards come check him out. They gave me the option of having an ambulance come get him. Luckily I made an okay choice and that wasn't necessary! Nick took it semi-easy the rest of the day and we had a blast.

After the beach we all went back to the hotel and got cleaned up and ready for dinner. We went to a Mexican restaurant called Acapulco. It was pretty yummy.

Jenny and Joey left dinner to go down to Newport. He wanted to take her to his favorite donut shop by the pier. We all knew that he was going to per-pose! Earlier that day Joey, Katie and my dad supposedly went to go look at surf boards and that is when he went and picked out a ring. So after I put my kids to bed I got in bed with Katie to wait for Jenny and Joey to get back so we could hear their story. I am so happy that Jenny found someone who loves her and that she loves back! Fun part of our trip was all talking about it and Jenny had NO clue!!

Beach week: Day 3

There were a few who were kind of roasty-toasty from the beach that Mom & Dad decided to take everyone to Knottsberry Farm to give those tender fried areas a break from the sun!

The kids LOVED Camp Snoopy!

According to Alex it was the best day EVER!

We ended our night at Macaroni Grill for dinner and then to Cheesecake Factory for some dessert.
