{Disneyland 2012}

As part of our Christmas present this year my mom and dad took the whole family to Disneyland for 2 days. 

It was so fun to all be together and it was so nice, everyone got along and 

we didn't have any problems the whole time!

 We designed these shirts and my mom had them made for us. All day long everyone would stop and compliment us on them.

 Everybody went and did what we wanted and occasionally we would run into each other and hang out a bit and do some rides together.

 We all met up in the evening to watch the parade together. My parents saved us some prime curb on Main Street. I think the parades have always been my mom's favorite.

We all ran around some more trying to ride as many rides as we could and after the park closed Mom and Dad treated everyone to Five Guys and Fries.

What a GREAT day (tiring too)!!

365- Week 47

 Life has gotten way busy and after being sick and having one sick kid after another I was just about to give up on my weekly posts but a friend told me I have gone all the way to November and that I have to finish up the year. I have probably missed a lot of days these last couple of weeks, but I am going to finish 2012 as best as I can!! Thanks for the motivation!!

 All the boys and Madi after Splash Mountain. They rode a couple of times in a row because there was no line! It was fun being at Disneyland on the same days as the Gertsch's and seeing them every now and then.

 Just after we got home Wednesday night. Cooper loves his bow and arrow he got from Disneyland.

Crazy story: Aubrey has had a binky too long and everytime I decide that it is time to get rid of it Daddy comes to the rescue and tells me that she can be a baby a little while longer. We have had the same one and only binky for the last year and Aubrey only has it at bed time. I noticed it had some holes it and ripped the nipple off thinking we could be done with binky. She saw it on the counter broken and asked me to fix it. I did, I taped it back together and she was so happy. Until she stuck it in her mouth. Not what she was thinking!! She was so MAD! We called Chris and told him that her binky broke and she told Chris she wanted a new blue one. She went down for her nap with no problems without it! Low and behold Chris comes home from work with a surprise for Aubrey, 4 new binkies!! Never did I think that he would really get her a new one!! But she was SO happy! So I guess my baby is going to be a binky baby a little longer!

Not great pictures. I forgot to take a "before" picture and excuse her messy face. But Jenny gave Aubrey a haircut when she came over to do my hair. Jenny took at least 3 inches off but it looks so much healthier now.

We had a little party for Nick at the park with family and played a game of baseball, Nick's request!

RASCALS {Cranberry Classic}

The Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving Nick played in the Cranberry Classic tournament. 

They were guaranteed 4 games going into the tournament. They did really well the first day and won both of their games and Saturday didn't go as well.  

The Friday games were so fun! The whole team was on fire and it made the games really fun to watch.

Nick got some great hits and had some really nice plays.  

Always a fun weekend spent at the baseball field!

[Thanksgiving 2012]

Thanksgiving was pretty relaxed for me this year. I wasn't stressed trying to make a million rolls (still in the kitchen baking, just not as much!). Cousins spent the night and spent the morning playing together. I tried to convince my kids to watch the Macy's Parade with me, like I used to do every Thanksgiving, but they just weren't into it like we used to be.

We all went to my parents for dinner. Everyone was there except Jordan and his family. My grandma came and  her cousins and friends, my cousin, Desiree and her family, so we definitely had a full house. Fifteen kids running around always causes a little chaos! 

It was a nice night though! I am so thankful for my family! My little family, my children and husband, my parents and siblings, I have the best family, and I am so thankful for my Savior. 

Alex was getting some tape for his Legos and Josh thought it was funny to tape his nose up. Everyone thought it was hilarious, totally freaked my mom and grandma out and then the others wanted to do it too!

After dinner and stuffing ourselves with way too many treats we all played some games together. It was a way fun night with family!!

{Clark County Museum Field Trip}

I went with Nick on his field trip to the Clark County museum the day before Thanksgiving.

I never even knew this museum existed. It was kind of neat to learn some history of  Las Vegas, Clark County, and Nevada. 

We started out at the wickiups in the top picture. They were Nick's favorite part of the trip. They are summer shelters made out of branches and brush  recreating a Paiute Village. Very interesting.  We then went on a half mile walk through the dessert kind of learning about some of the shrubs and bushes. We ended our walk in the ghost town with buildings and a jail from 1880 all the way to the 1950's.

My favorite part was Heritage Street. It is a street lined with houses dating back for the last century or so. They are fully furnished with furniture from that time. It was fun to see how not only were the houses way smaller but furniture was so small. 

Nice morning spent outside with one of my favorite boys!

Sad that I don't get to go on the rest of his field trips with him this year though.

 (I guess there is a one field trip per parent rule in the 4th grade!)

 After waiting way too long at the dealership for an oil change we decided to take a walk through the car lot to get out some of the wiggles. As we passed this red Camaro Cooper stroked it and said, "Mom, can we have this baby?". I was dying laughing!!

 Happy Thanksgiving!! My cousin was in town from CA with her family and Chloe hit it off at dinner with Rylee and Sage so they came and spent the night with Hailey too. I took this picture to show that even big kids LOVE playing with the Christmas Little People village.
