365- Week 24

My mom, dad, Jenny, and Katie came over for some cake and ice cream for my mom's birthday. 

Poor Mom had to share her birthday with Father's Day.

 Nick has been waiting for this day since before his regular baseball season ended, All Stars.

And they are serious! They practice everyday of the week! Nick LOVES it though!

 I have been doing some crafting lately. Sometimes I pretend like I am totally dependent and don't need Chris to do projects like this...but then I realize I do need him! And I am so glad he is willing to help. 

And I am also glad he isn't mad when I HATE how the project turns out and just want to throw it away.

Father's Day

 We celebrated the Saturday before Father's Day with my whole family at Buca di Beppo. 

It was a combined celebration for my mom's birthday too.

I am so blessed to have a good husband!

I am so thankful for the good man that he is and for the man he is trying to become.

He keeps me grounded. He takes care of me. He loves me entirely.

I am thankful that he is a good dad and is always there for our kids.

We tried to spoil our dad a little on his special day.

We made banana bread french toast, hash browns, eggs, and sausage.

We made him some butterscotch cookies to share with his Young Men.

We made him a banner and lots of cards.

We made his favorite dinner, parmesan chicken and mashed potatoes and he requested chocolate-cherry fudge cake which he so kindly let us put candles in for my mom's birthday.

I am thankful to have an awesome dad. I am thankful for the good example he is and for his kind heart.

I am thankful that Chris and my dad could spend their Father's Day morning giving Chris' dad a priesthood blessing. I am thankful for Chris' dad, Victor too. He is good man with a big heart and does so much to help me and I am grateful.

We went to California Pizza Kitchen for our field trip last week. 

I never even knew about this, Staci set it up for us.CPK does tours through the kitchen and let the kids make up their own pizzas.The kids LOVED it! They even got to fill up their own drinks like little waiters.

 And it was nice for the moms too! They were so good to us there. They brought out some extra pizzas for us and gave us coupons for the next time we eat there.

And if FREE pizza wasn't enough, it happened to be FLIP FLOP FRIDAY at Tropical Smoothie. So after Aubrey's nap we got our flip flops on and went across the street for free smoothies. The kids loved it beacause they got their very own big smoothie. Fun day and nice on my wallet too!

365- Week 23

Chloe thought we were doing a silly picture!

Aunt Lynda came into town for Katie's graduation. We picked her up from the airport, went to eat lunch at Cheesecake Factory, and then she came back to our house for a while.

 Surprisingly I have been doing a lot of crafting lately! I made these letters for Aubrey's Mickey party.

 After some begging we got the snow cone machine out and made some snow cones.

To celebrate Father's Day and my mom's birthday, which happened to be the same day this year, we went out to eat on Saturday night. I guess everybody in Las Vegas wanted to celebrate a day early too because Bucca Di Beppo was PACKED! It was crazy loud, kind of felt like we were at Chuck E. Cheese on a Saturday. It was yummy and nice to all be together though!

The Angels are done!

 The Little League season is officially over for Nick now too. 

Nick had a really good season!

He mostly played catcher and pitcher, but occasionally he played other positions as needed.

I am not going to lie, I am pretty happy to have a little break from baseball.

Nick isn't as happy. 

He LOVES to play baseball and is super excited that he was chosen to be on the All Star team.

So our break was short lived and we will be playing ball all summer long.

 And just because she is so cute and funny too.

My dad brought Max to the game and she LOVED walking him around.

Katie's Graduation

 Monday was Katie's graduation from high school.

As all the students were walking into the arena I got a little teary eyed. 

I can't believe that my baby sister is so old!

I am so proud of her though. She kept her promise, not letting Jenny be the only one to show the rest of us up and graduated with Honors.

Katie is such a smart girl and has such a bright future!

 After graduation there was a big BBQ and swim party over at my mom's.
Everything was pink because that is Katie's favorite color.

 We partied all afternoon into the evening, eating way too many treats.

It was fun!
