[Back Yard]

Our last house was small, but had a pretty good sized backyard, especially compared to the other homes in our neighborhood. So when we were looking to buy again I said our new house needed to have the same size back yard or bigger. We put an off on a house that was beautiful and that I loved and I thought I was willing to give up the yard for the house, but these past couple weeks make me so glad we didn't do that!

My kids L.O.V.E. to be outside!

Last Saturday we were at Nick's baseball game all morning, then to Mavrik's game/baseball practice, to the park for the egg hunt, picnic and kickball and when we got home they still wanted to go play in the back yard.

I love that I can open the back door and they are provided with hours of entertainment!

Every day this week (spring break) we have done something, gone somewhere and as soon as we get home they are in the backyard again. I love it!!

{Pre} Easter

It has been years since we (all my family) have been together for Easter.

We finally were able to make it happen, just a week early!

This last Saturday we had a picnic and egg hunt.

Of course Grandma spoiled the kids with tons of candy, a swim suit, clothes, and a ticket to the Disney Ice Show.

After we ate we all played a game of kickball. It was so much fun!

It was so nice to all be together!

Baseball Season

We are already 2 weeks into games for Nick.

Baseball is our life again for the next couple of months.

Cooper and Alex's games start next week too.

We love watching Nick play.

He is #5 .

He is playing catcher and pitcher.

And baseball season means "Snack Shack" for the other kids!

In this picture Alex is saying, "How many boogers we talking about??" in a super cute little accent. He saw a commercial for The Three Stooges and has been doing this ever since. Cracks me up every time!

Aubrey, Chloe and I went to Mavrik's first t-ball game. Aubrey was playing with Ben forever. She was loving it!

Changing

I feel like this girl is changing so much lately.

Growing up a little, or somedays A LOT everyday.

She is talking so much now and will repeat almost everything we say to her (not always understandable & definitely only when she wants to).

She LOVES to be outside on the trampoline!

"Outside" is one of her words!

And it is so cute to watch her jump. She can even jump now when she is NOT on the trampoline.

She says "cheese" when I am trying to take her picture.

She always wants to bring her purse wherever we go and a baby usually comes too.

She is very girly, LOVES to wear her little high heels around the house.

She loves to talk on the phone and will just chatter away.

For the most part I am LOVING this stage (the temper tantrums could go)- just wishing it would slow down a little. I am losing my baby!

My Nick

A couple of weeks ago Nick was student of the week.

I want to remember some things about him at age 9.

Favorite color(s): orange, red, and black

Favorite TV show: X- Men

Favorite celebrity: Albert Pujols

Favorite book: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Favorite sport: baseball

Nick is obsessed with baseball. He LOVES to play! He is so excited on game day that he lays out his uniform before school. His favorite team is the Angels. And anytime possible he is wearing his Angels jersey he got for Christmas or his Angels t-shirt and he ALWAYS has his Angels hat on.

Lucky for Nick his little league team is the Angels too!

Nick didn't get to play on the team with his cousins this time because they made some new boundaries (we were all very sad about this), but he is doing really well. He is mostly playing catcher, but is pitching also. He is doing AWESOME pitching!!! He received the game ball at his second game after he pitched 3 up, 3 down striking everyone out for 2 and half innings straight. He is having a hard time hitting again now that he is in kid pitch, but I know he will get better as the season goes on.

Nick has such a good heart. I just love that boy to pieces. He is a major daddy's boy, but also has a soft spot for his mama. Chris and I always say that he got all the good traits from the both of us!

Spring

When I think of spring the park comes to mind.

I love that the weather is so nice (most days) that we can spend the whole day outside.

Cooper, Aubrey and I have been riding our bike to the park and having lunch before we have to take Cooper to school.

I LOVE that these two are little buddies!

I LOVE the way Aubrey says "Coop-uh"!

I know it is going to be a sad day when Cooper is in school all day.

I LOVE my silly man!
