"Field Trip Friday"- Belagio Gardens

We took a quick trip to the Belagio gardens last Friday to check out what is going on there for the summer. From the pictures it kind of looks like we are at an amusement park. I think the kids were a little disappointed that the ferris wheel and carousel were just for show, but it was

b-e-a-utiful! I love going there!
As part if the display they even have an aviary with some cute and colorful birds in it.

Like I said, it was a quick trip, but it fulfilled our Field Trip Friday!

365- Week 30

Our summer fun has been winding down. This last week we were super lazy, not a whole lot of fun was had. We were still busy though, with lots of dance, scouts, book club, company for dinner a couple of nights, Alex is taking a class at UNLV, and we got to go to an ultrasound for Amber and see that she is going to be having a BOY! lots of stuff, but as my kids have reminded me, just boring stuff! So here is our boring week!

We watched Mavrik and Makaylin while Amber went to a baby shower. I layed down with Mavrik and in less than 5 minutes he was like this. So cute!

Aubrey has a new fascination with flip flops. She can actually walk around with mine or Chris' on. It is pretty cute!

Jordan and Amber came over for dinner. The kids were playing in the backyard for a bit. Jordan was showing the kids how to do back flips.

Chloe was messing around with my camera while we were getting ready to go out. We had dinner in the food court at the Fashion Show Mall and did a little shopping for some school clothes.

"Field Trip Friday"- PUMP IT UP!

Last Friday we went to Pump It Up for our weekly field trip. We were the first people in the place and the kids were off to play. Everyone was having fun, some of friends starting coming when Alex got sick. Luckily the day didn't have to be ruined for all the kids. Nick, Chloe and Cooper got to stay and play because I have some great friends and family while I took Alex home to rest and put Aubrey down for a nap.

The Boulder City Train and The Hoover Dam x2

Our friends invited us on a little trip to Boulder City a couple weeks ago.

So we woke and got ready, kind of early for a Saturday, and took a drive. We went on the train and took a little ride. It was actually really nice sitting outside with the breeze. The kids had fun playing around with each-other. We had the car to ourselves for the most part so they were free!

After our ride we headed to A&W for lunch. The kids hardly ate and I ate way too much! It was yummy!!

And then we were off to see the dam. I haven't been out there since the bridge has been finished to it was neat to see. We climbed to the top and walked on the bridge where we had a perfect view of Hoover Dam. The kids were done at this point, just plain old tired, but it was still a nice day! Thanks Lauren for inviting us!!

And my kids had just gone to the dam about month before on a filed trip with Grandpa. They were our tour guides, told us where to park and how to get on the bridge. Glad that my kids have great grandparents that take them to do fun things!

"Field Trip Friday"- Bowling

Last week we continued with our field trips, we met our friends at the Red Rock bowling lanes. It was pretty chaotic with so many little kids, but I think everyone had fun. Nick, Ben and Zach had a lane to themselves and bowled 2 games in the same amount of time that all the little kids bowled one game. To make the day even better we went across the street to Burger King for lunch and let the kids be free.

365- Week 28

While I was at the funeral in Provo the kids got to have a fun day with Dad. Not a great picture, but Chris sent this to me. He knew that if I were there I would have taken a picture! He had to do Chloe's hair. Pretty impressive!

I have 2 pictures for Sunday. First, Alex and his squash. He came with a little plant from school and asked Chris if he could plant it. Chris helped him, figuring it would die off, but no! We have a huge squash plant in our backyard!!

And then also Aubrey at dinner squishing her peas. I am not sure if she is teething or what, but she has been pretty grumpy. This night she wouldn't eat anything just wanted to smash it!

We got a lot of attention at the Harry Potter Sneak Preview with all of our matching shirts. News5 was there and interviewed Jenny and Katie. They showed part of their interview that night on the 10 o'clock news.

These were my early risers for the day. Aubrey stole the spoons out of the dishwasher when I was loading it.

As Chloe likes to call it, Hailey was over for a "play-over". They painted, played play-doh, colored, played on the trampoline, played babies, played dress-up, and did their nails. They were busy girls!
