Cooper must have known it was his birthday because when I went to get him out of his crib he was wearing his birthday suit. He has
never done that before so I thought it was pretty funny that he completely undressed himself for the occasion. He had waffles for breakfast and then we made sugar cookies for him to bring to nursery. His favorite color seems to be yellow and he picked it to frost his cookies. All morning long he kept saying "It's my
birday!" and he was so excited. For the last six months that Cooper has been in nursery he has NEVER EVER gone without crying. So I was so happy when he willingly walked right in with Granny
Denton. She has been his new teacher for about the last month. She got birthday hats for all the kids and Cooper got a little badge that said, "I am the birthday boy!".
Since Cooper's birthday fell on a Sunday this year we decided to just have a big family dinner with Chris' and my family. We had sweet and sour meatballs and homemade rolls, Cooper's favorite and of course Aunt Amber made him a monkey cake to match all his party stuff.
He got a lot of great gifts, but his favorite was his bike. Grandma always gets the best presents!! I had to pull hime off of it so that we could sing 'Happy Birthday' and he cried while I blew his candles out. I am so excited that he has his own bike now and he actually knows how to pedal already!!
Coop really is a special boy. I am so glad he had a great day!
