EXTREME... for me

No matter how I get my hair cut or grow it out I always seem to make it look the same. So... I decided to let my hairdresser have a little fun! I picked the color and told her nothing too crazy! So now I have a chunky copper streak on the top. I still am not so sure about it, but Chris loves it, so I guess I will keep it for 6 weeks!

Quality Time

This last weekend Nick got to go to the lake with Grandpa, Uncle Jordan, and Ben.

The boys had fun wake boarding with Jordan, jumping off the boat, driving the boat, and tubing all by their selves.

When Nick got home Saturday afternoon he couldn't stop talking about how much fun he had. That is until he fell asleep in the car on the way to dinner!

Bad Boy?

I was getting the kids dressed when Nick decided to show me his new trick. I just smiled! That is what my brothers and I used to do all the time when we were little. We weren't supposed to, but we did it anyways. And of course Nick knew that I used to do it because Uncle Josh is the one who showed him how! I figure if I don't make a big deal about it, he won't want to do it as much, and I told him you can only do it if you have clean feet!

{Chloe and Alex's fort}

Friday's have seemed to turn into my lazy day. The rest of the chaotic week has caught up with me and I can't find the motivation to do anything! Since Alex and Chloe don't have school on Friday's they get to stay home all day and play! This is what they were upto today.

Date Night

It is embarassing to say how long it has been since Chris and I have been to the temple, but we finally went last night. Every time we go, we always feel so great that we want to come back again, and then we just get caught up in the day to day of life and don't get there. Hopefully, we will be able to stick to it this time. I feel so much more at peace with my life and am able to have more patience and understanding with my kids.

Thanks Mom and dad for watching the kids! We had a great night!!

Big Boys!

What is happening to my babies?

Cooper turned 18 months last week, so yesterday he officially started nursery. Chris and I helped out in the nursery for the first hour so he was just fine. The second hour the poor little guy didn't stop crying. I know that he will get used to it sooner or later, but I would rather not leave him in there crying for 2 hours. Chris and I have both worked in the nursery long enough to know what it is like to have a screaming child for two LONG hours. And since we have experienced that too many times ourselves we won't be able to do that. Little by little he will get used to it! He looks so little compared to all the other kids.
What will we do when we can finally attend Sunday school and YW/priesthood without a little friend?

This morning when I took Alex to school he told me he wasn't going to cry anymore. I have heard that before, so I really wasn't expecting much. We walked up to the gate and he lined up against it with his teacher and his friends and then told me I could go now. What the heck! I always wait until my kids go into school and my 3 year old tells me to go home. I was very relieved that he is doing so well at school, but in that same moment I was crushed that he doesn't need me anymore.

This morning I told Nick that I love him and he smiled at me. I called Chris and asked him what he did to my little boy. He said he is just going through a phase and is embarassed. I then told him it was at home, no kids from school to make fun of him, just the two of us. So now I continue to tell him I love him until he says it back!
