Happy Birthday Chris!

Happy Birthday old man!
This is the last year your candles will start with a 2!
We love and are thankful for you!
Happy Birthday!!

{Arizona Cardinals}

The Friday before Chris' birthday his boss gave him box tickets to a Cardinals game for that Sunday. We left Saturday night to make a little trip out of it. Jenny and Katie are totally awesome and stayed with the kids.
It was so nice to be able to just be Chris and I for a little more than 24 hours! I am NOT into football, but the game was so fun. Just the atmosphere and the experience were neat! I did learn that football fans are CRAZy and Steelers fans are even CraZier! If I didn't know better I would have thought we were in Pittsburgh with all the yellow and black that we saw.
I got the flu while we were gone, but not eve being sick could ruin our weekend, we had a great time!

Pumpkin Patch x3

Saturday was a busy, busy day full of pumpkins and FUN!!
We started off the morning by going out to Gilcrease Orchards with Josh, Amber, Everett, and Jordyn. The kids took turn pulling the wagons and riding in them as we walked down to pick pumpkins. As soon as we got to the pumpkin patch the kids took off. They loved picking pumpkins! It was super hot outside and I forgot our water in the car, so we didn't stay as long as we wanted too, but it was lots of fun. On our way out we got some fresh apple cider and hot apple cider donuts that were DELICIOUS!!!
We stopped for lunch at Cane's on the way home with Josh and Amber and then let Aubrey have a short nap before heading to the next pumpkin patch.
We met Melissa, Taylor, Tat, Hayden, and Landon at the McKee Ranch for some cousin pictures. Like I said it was HOT, and the kids were covered in hay(itchy) so it was kind of hard to get to get everyone happy at the same time, but I think we got 1 good picture. At least Aubrey wasn't crying in this one! She is not a fan of the hay!
After pictures the kids got to have a pony ride. Nick is older, so he got to ride the big horse. I didn't get a picture of him becayse Melissa took him while I was with the other kids.
Tat brought tons of carrots for the kids to feed the horses. They were pretty scared at first, but with a little help they warmed up a bit and fed the horses instead of throwing the carrots in their general direction. Aubrey liked all the animals as long as we were watching them from a distance.
We went home for a little break and then off to the next. Every year we go with our good friends the Wong's and the Schweitzer's.

I think the first time we went together we had 4 kids between us and now we are upto 14!
The kids have to smile for pictures before they get their tickets to play.
As usual they had fun running around together. I was sad Chris wasn't with us this year. He and Tristen went to CA for the day to get some parts for his ongoing project.
Three pumpkin patches in 1 day as a single mom was a lot of work!! But it was a fun day!! Thanks everyone!!

365- Week 41

10/08/11
I don't think my week is complete without a picture of Aubs! She LOVES being in the backyard on the trampoline.

10/09/11
Chloe and Hailey after Hailey's baptism. I can't believe Chloe will be 8 in about 7 months!

10/10/11
Alex had to do a pumpkin book project for school. It was supposed to combine reading with creativity, so they had to make a character from a book out of a pumpkin. Alex had a hard time deciding which book to choose, but one night he just kept asking for snack after snack, and he would say, "But I am STILL hungry!". And then it just hit me that we had to do The Hungry Caterpillar. Alex loved the idea too and there was no changing his mind!

10/11/11
Chris came home from work in the middle of the day and brought me flowers for no reason.
Man, I love him!!

10/12/11
Chris and Nick at Open House for school.

10/13/11
Last week the parents got to go into class and watch a Halloween number that they have been working on in ballet. It was so cute! It was a spider song as they did their different positions.

10/14/11
Cooper loves to get the mail now and loves to look through the ads. Even if they are the grocery ones. He lets me know what we need from the store!

Katie turns 18!

Last night Jenny and I took Katie out to celebrate her 18th birthday!
First we went to dinner at Cheesecake Factory. To make it official we had them sing to her, which she loved! And they even wrote, "Happy Birthday Katie" on the plate of her red velvet cheesecake.
We got my mom's permission (my mom is convinced the tower is going to fall over!)and took Katie to the top of the Stratosphere to ride the Big Shot.
It has probably been about 10 years since I last rode it. It was a definite thrill!
We had tons of fun being crazy together. Doing sexy bird dances!
Happy Birthday Katie! I love you!

Crazy Hair Day

Last Friday was crazy hair day at school. My boys haven't had a hair cut since school started so that it would be long enough(this is as longs as I will let it get) can to have a mohawk.
So Jenny spent Thursday evening at our house cutting mohawks and braiding Chloe's crazy hair. I think they looked pretty cute!

{Witch's Party}

Las week my Bunco group had a Witch's Party. It was so much fun to see everyone dressed up and have a yummy dinner together!
Since Chloe had her witches costume from last year she really wanted to come eat dinner with us, and since she is the cutest little witch I know I had to let her!
